Up until today's rewatch, I had CA over DOFP, but this time, DOFP emotionally resonated with me. The scene
with both Xaviers
has the most emotion of any major Hollywood movie I've seen this year, and the action and plotline are impeccably good

Yes. Best 3D I've seen all year.
Hows the depth vs pop-out effect? Good on both fronts? I may actually this in 3D as I haven't seen anything in 3D since Gravity

I'm thinking 60%+ drop but that's just me.
That would be pretty steep but I could see it especially if TFIOS pulls away the girl/women viewers

Yea I was going to see EoT tonight but the throngs of teenage girls is going to be too much and I decided to wait until a matinee tomorrow...

Do any of the southern European countries (Portugal, Spain, etc...) have a big movie watching culture though? Maybe its too nice outside to be inside...

I strongly ask myself how many years they will exist now. Things are far worst than ever before. Nothing makes money. Theaters are empty every day. I just can't see Portugal having movie theaters in a mainstream way for many more years.
Do you guys have a big chain (e.g. regal, amc, etc) or bunch of independent theaters?

Maybe it comes in the high end of the estimates and does decent this weekend...This way hopefully in the coming weekends, the good word of mouth will give it good legs and help it do a run similar to Now You See Me...
