Thing about Jurassic Park 3 was, that it was missing a climax.
It's missing a whole second act.

Everybody keeps underestimating Jurassic.

It's meant to be the grand finale of the franchise. At this time, I'm just hoping for it to be a blast, don't really care how much it'll make.
That said, I do think it will make moolah.

Brainbug, I'm pretty much sure, if one liked the last two Jurassic Worlds, they'll like this one.
Pretty sure this is gonna be my favorite of the Summer.

Now I'm going to spend rest 10 days anxious because apparently now everyone thinks this will suck and flop.
Just don't. The exact same shit happened with the original Jurassic World and to a much larger extent Fallen Kingdom and look how well they did.
It's the last one in the series, it brings back the original cast, it'll do well.

Glen Powell voices someone in the Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous show. Should have adapted his character into the movies with Powell playing the role
Yeah, but his character in Camp Cretaceous is a bit of a idiot so he'd have likely more or less been comic relief. . . plus final season is in July so we don't know if he's still alive yet.

I haven't really seen any problem with the special effects in the first two episodes.

June 22 is absurd. Way too soon.
the last thing we need are audiences expecting these massive movies to be available at home for free on streamers 7 weeks later. Batman and now Strange. FML.
Just put them out on PVOD rental with $20 price tags ffs!
Doctor Strange is about to hit a billion, it'll be fine with it. Other studios just did the same with The Last City, Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and Morbius.
Universal, who up until recently only did 20 dollar rentals reeleased Amublance and the Bad Guys not just for rental, but purchase too - roughly 17 days after it's debut.
It's the new normal.

For someone that's a casual fan of Star Wars, this absolutely rocked.
It's dark yes, but it's at a dark point in the galaxy. It makes sense.

On the internet message boards.
The general audience ate Fallen Kingdom up.

We do actually know certain behaviors based on evidence such as trace fossils or the presence of certain phenotypic structures that can be likened through comparative anatomy. It would be unrepresentive to say behavior is 100% guesses and assumptions. We know for instance Deinonychus likely didn't hunt in packs as the juveniles have a diet made up of smaller organisms than the adults. We know this through isotope analyses of their teeth that their diet was drastically different than the adults. And from this we can extrapolate what they ate based on which isotopes are more common and how they behaved. It is most likely the juvenile behavior of deinonychus is most likened to juvenile crocodilians. Monitored by their parents b/c there's less eggs in a dromaeosaur clutch inferring type K selection, but still being let to acquire their own food which would be small lizards or amphibians.
And for the record. No the Apple series is less fictional than Jurassic Park. That show is pretty spot on for the knowledge we have of these animals. My point is they communicate different things so it's more important for one to be accurate than the other.
We still only have their fossils. We haven't actually seen them out in the wild. Every behavior of a dinosaur in a documentary - from Walking with Dinosaurs to Prehistoric Planet is based on hypothesis (as well as inspiration of real life similar animals) and not 100% certainty, because 10 years from now many scientists will have changed their mind and gone in a different direction.
-
There's never going to be 100% accuracy with how the dinosaurs are portrayed in the film. There won't ever be, we simply just do not know how they behave, everything is based on guesses and assumptions.
What makes them feel like real animals in the movie is how much effort the animatronics teams and animation teams put in. They study various animals and put their behaviors and mannerisms in the dinosaurs.
The Apple docu-miniseries that's currently airing also follow this. The dinosaurs look great and feel like actual animals, but we don't know if they actually behaved that way, it's as fictional as Jurassic Park.

People need to realize that filmmakers are never ever gonna capture the wonder and magic of the original. That should have been clear back in 1997. But people keep coming back in droves because they love the franchise. And that will once again be made VERY clear when Dominion opens big and makes bank.
And Firepower, Fallen Kingdom and Dominion literally have a combination of practical and CGI effects. They're not also full of pointless explosions (the island is literally having a volcanic eruption in Fallen Kingdom and there's like a whopping TWO explosions in World) what are you even on about . . .again.

Why not both?

Peacock seems terribly afraid of putting Universal movies on their NBCU Universal streaming service. That shows how confident they are.
Discovery+ and Disney+ are really the only studio-owned/backed services that got it right (HBO Max is getting there). Having 95% of their library on the services be content they own and not anyone elses.

Lol what do you have against top gun?
My co-worker won't shut the fuck up about it. They are a huge Top Gun fan. I know this because they talk about it every goddamn day. And everytime they mention it, the more I want to crawl in a hole and never come out.
I'm with Brainbug. I just want Jurassic to crush it. They're gonna co-exist perfectly, but still . . . .
I was expecting a D or an F for Firestarter. That is suprisingly higher than I thought it would be.

Lol. "Might" do well?
I've got some news for you....
Oh by all means, it's gonna make bank. But none of it will come from me.
Top Gun is not a movie I like, I have no desire seeing a second and I'm going to have to listen to my co-worker talking about it for ages.

Jurassic and Thor are gonna rule the Summer. Doctor Strange is aleady close to 600 global so even with this drop, it still might hit a gargantuan 800 or 900 million global.
Doctor Strange also didn't stray that far from the Marvel formula. They just added jump scares. The only movie that strayed was Eternals and well . . .
Top Gun might do well too, even if I'm rooting against it.
