  1. http://www.boxofficemojo.com/movies/?id=hostiles.htm Added to BOM, premieres in limited. Synopsis from IMDB: It also received decent reviews at Telluride and TIFF.
  2. http://www.boxofficemojo.com/schedule/?view=&release=&date=2017-12-01&showweeks=5&p=.htm Moved up a week to December 1st limited. Interesting.
  3. I think I'm about to barf after reading all of this.
  4. Or you can just see the movie that's good and skip the movie that's bad. I know that sounds wild, but it makes the most sense to me.
  5. Rothman: Everyone, Ghostbusters didn't work out, and 21 Jump Street is pretty much finished. What other franchises do we have left to exploit and generate money off of? Jessie: How about a Dragon Tatoo sequel? Rothman: We're already doing that. James: Charlie's Angels? Rothman: We're already doing that. Butch (sarcastically): Let's do Spider-Man again. Rothman: Brilliant Butch! People love our Homecoming movie, so let's make more Spider-Man movies. Cassidy: Sir, we are, but we're forced to be with Marvel Studios in order to make them. Rothman: Well, let's just make Spider-Man movies without Marvel Studios. We'll take the scripts for those spinoff movies we have lying around, and make a shared Spider-Man universe without Spider-Man being in the movies. That'll make us all the money!
  6. http://deadline.com/2017/10/regina-king-barry-jenkins-if-beale-street-could-talk-1202193147/ Regina King joins the cast.
  7. While lurking the AwardsWatch forums, new information has been unveiled. Anne Krieps is being campaigned for lead, as well as Brooklynn Prince, instead of supporting like a lot of other people thought. Good for Hong Chau and Kristen Scott Thomas I guess.
  8. But like...it's probably going to get a price increase in the next month or so since the company's losing money on it (also, my main issue isn't really price, but transportation. The only way I can go to a movie theater at school is to take an Uber, which will cost around $20 to go both to the theater and back to school, and at home, I share one car with my sisters, who use it to go to work, so that leads to very little time for me to use the car to drive to one of the theaters near our house)
  9. I feel so bad, because my movie viewing has been really low. I've only seen La La Land, Split, Logan, Guardians 2, Wonder Woman, Baby Driver, Spider-Man, Big Sick, Dunkirk, and Kingsman in the theater so far. I'm so ashamed.
  10. Yikes. Guess TY4YS might edge out and beat Suburbicon then.
  11. My question is, will the release date change? I know Paddington isn't some huge brand, but I'd assume the new distributors would want more time for marketing.

  13. Okay, I have to stop you right there. Modern Simpsons is boring, but Family Guy is pure garbage in every sense of the word. It's easily up there as some of the worst television on right now.
  14. RT's television section is absolute garbage. TV critics not only account for far less than movies, but TV critics only get the first couple of episodes, and few get reviews for the second season onwards, so there's no good gauge to tell whether the season as a whole is good or not, and most shows slowly get abandoned as time goes on (Empire Season 1 had 47 reviews, Season 2 33, Season 3 32, the latest only 6). Almost every review there is pretty much for the first 5 or 6 episodes (outside of Netflix stuff, for obvious reasons) Really, the best way to follow TV is to just follow certain critics (My faves are Alan Sepinwall, Daniel Fienberg, and Todd VanDerWeff)
  15. October all things considered was pretty awful, but the one silver lining is that it will likely lead to a stellar November...at least I hope.
  16. http://deadline.com/2017/10/chappaquiddick-entertainment-studios-thanksgiving-holiday-opening-box-office-1202183003/ Now moved to April 6, leaving Coco (and also Polaroid but we all know that ain't coming out) the only movie debuting on the Thanksgiving frame.
