This is the biggest problem with there being like 8 Marvel movies and shows a year. Like my mind has me thinking Shang-Chi came out like 8 years ago, because of all the media in between. But like…it’s only three. And he hasn’t even showed up in anything since then, so it makes the gap feel more noticeable than it actually is.

I mean...those are good grades? Like they are almost always considered fresh by Rotten Tomatoes.

Eugh. Don't remind me. The way Marvel nerds describe it, the whole thing sounds like the most pandering fan service nonsense ever. Are Marvel fans really content with a movie that is nothing but "look, it's that actor you like being that character in that movie you saw as a kid?" Do they not feel manipulated? Do they like being manipulated?

I like to think I’m above fanboy raging, and obviously Hugh wanted to do this, but I still feel can’t help but find it desperate and sad to see Jackman as Wolverine again. It just reeks of cheap fan service and still to me cheapens Logan’s conclusion. A conclusion that really meant a lot to me, both from a “I’ve seen this actor as this character my whole life” and from a thematic standpoint. I’ve tried my best to argue this and that, but it still feels a little sad to see this pathetic ploy for nostalgia money regardless. Just me and my opinion ofc.

I greatly envy your life if this is what gets you this emotional.
