  1. I mean outside of the SYNERGY with this Disney+ Day stuff, they'll still probably put this on digital in like mid-October...wow, 45 days feels like a long time until you really think about it.

Dear Evan Hansen Greater Philadelphia Area Seat Report T-3 and Counting Sellouts Showings Seats Sold Total Seats Perct Sold TOTALS 0 19 148 4496 3.29% Comp 0.293x of Cruella's Thu+Fri T-3 (2.26M) 0.827x of Jungle Cruise T-3 (2.23M) 5.103x of Respect T-3 (3.32M) 0.151x of In the Heights' Thu+Fri Wednesday Sales (757K) So yeah, when it comes to Heights, the only data I generated for the movie that is publicly documented, the 5M made when combining Thu+Fri, was on the Wednesday before release. But might as well put it here anyway before people pester me about this. Honestly sales aren't that bad here, but I'll admit I don't have the best comps in the world. Everybody else have worse results, so I'm inclined to believe them for the time being.
  6. I don't usually pay attention to how PLF distribution works, but I'm assuming it'll go NTTD IMAX, Last Duel morning/afternoon PLFs, and Halloween evening PLFs
  7. Moderation Careful guys, you're leaning a little bit too much into spoilers with all your hints. Please be careful and think about what you want to post
  8. I think what a lot of people don't recognize is the appeal of awards shows comes just as much, if not more, from the red carpet and interview junkets. Anecdotal, but my mom really only watches these events so she can say "Oh, I love that dress! Oh, I know that actor!" And judging from all the tweets and articles made about who was the best dressed that night, I don't think I'm alone there. And yeah, the Emmys were helped by stuff like The Crown and The Queen's Gambit being huge, populist hits, but last year's slate wasn't all that different (if anything, people had more time to binge the nominees), and it still suffered in the ratings because COVID meant there was no chance for any red carpet photos or a sexy auditorium to broadcast the show. Obviously big movies help, but I think an exciting red carpet and a strong host a la Ellen (well...okay not Ellen now, but you know what I mean) can pick up the slack. Especially since we could very well see some good awards contenders that become populist hits.
  9. Allow me to recommend you folks Only Murders in the Building. It's both a compelling mystery and is consistently funny throughout. Martin Short kills me with every line and Selena Gomez' deadpan delivery is great. The guest stars are also phenomenal.
  10. That's why I didn't say flawlessly. I do agree that everything revolving around Severine was a complete disaster.
