  1. https://www.tiff.net/events/abominable Following in Sing's footsteps
  2. TIFF announced the first batch of movies that will be showing at the festival. In terms of notable releases: -A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood -Bad Education -Ford v Ferrari -Harriet -Honey Boy -Jojo Rabbit -Joker -Judy -Knives Out -Motherless Brooklyn -Pain and Glory -Parasite -The Goldfinch -The Laundromat -The Lighthouse -The Report -Uncut Gems Only real notable omissions (at least for the moment, they could still be added) off the top of my head are Ad Astra, Little Women, The Irishman, Queen & Slim, and Lucy in the Sky
  3. Once Upon A Time in Hollywood Greater Philadelphia Area Seat Report T-3 Days and Counting Sellouts Showings Seats Sold Total Seats Perct Sold TOTALS 0 44 651 5,465 11.91% Adjusted Comps 7.73x of Crawl 3 days before release 7.91x of Stuber 3 days before release 0.12x of The Lion King 3 days before release Now, by design, I don't have a good comp here to work with. The reason I track this stuff is to help the movies of the future rather than the present. But as of right now, we've got ourselves a range between 2.9M to 7.7M. Outside looking in, I feel more confident on the lower end than the higher end. Not a bad thing mind you. Unless Tarantino fans frontload the film like crazy, I feel like the lower end still makes an opening in the 30s very very likely, which would probably ensure 100M IMHO.
  4. Great movie, but I'm a touch surprised many of my fellow East Coast elites love Up so much.
  5. lmao Jim Gang be wilding this past couple days
  6. Nah you're staying with me and @Porthos Gotta represent the old CC thread
  7. Mulan trailer had Reflection playing in the background. Little Mermaid probably gonna play Part of Your World in all the marketing. Disney knows what they're doing.
  8. TBH, Jumanji seems destined to be a movie that will barely sell anything until the week of release.
  9. https://deadline.com/2019/07/saw-reboot-release-date-chris-rock-lionsgate-1202650547/ Now drops May 15
  10. As somebody who lurks AwardsWatch (I know), one of the big things they've mentioned is that the script only has Mr. Rogers as a supporting character, with the focus being Matthew Rhys' character. I mean I obviously get why Sony is positioning the entire marketing campaign around Hanks, but that could be a problem when it comes to WOM.
  11. Speaking of lists, is a "Best Films of 2009" list still available to use?
  12. Looks good, but Hanks is a little distracting here. Didn't even try to change the cadence of his voice to actually sound like Fred.
  13. Wasn't that the whole point of the CC thread tho?
  14. I got enough group chat apps on my phone as is. I don't need another one blasting my notifications. I'm gonna stick to here, and wait for the rest of y'all to wise up and remember your roots.
  15. But part of the fun of the CC thread was shooting the shit, talking about life, and so on. Take it to another place, and it's just not as fun, and kinda loses the sense of camaraderie this place has.
  16. BKB definitely got it when he got banned. It was honestly kind of cathartic for a lot of people here.
  17. nah but fr, Telegram is a communication group chat app similar to WhatsApp. We have one group chat dedicated to BOT users. I don't know why we do, but it's there I guess.
  18. Of course, dcasey/Broadwayfreak is still my favorite alt-account poster guy. His Potter passion was truly astonishing, that it surprisingly even made his weird MRA rants about Johnny Depp hate representing feminism destroying humanity weirdly kind of adorable.
