  1. Ant-Man and the Wasp 8:15 PM in one of the smaller auditoriums, about 20% full Trailers (a group of teenage boys were talking amongst themselves throughout all of the trailers, because everyone under the age of 18 are cancer incarnate): Mission: Impossible - Fallout (Simon Pegg introduced the trailer, mild murmurs, I'm getting sick of that trailer being in front of everything) The Spy Who Dumped Me Creed II (chatter, louder than some of the other ones) A House with a Clock in its Walls (one of the kids sounded like he was into it) The Meg ("It's like Jaws on steroids") The Nutcracker and the Four Realms (This got a touch of a reaction) Dumbo Movie got some laughs, but nothing really major. Heard an "oh no" at one of the car chases. A couple of gasps at the mid-credits scene. The teenagers mentioned to each other they thought it was good. Movie's aight I guess.
  2. 'Twas aight. Definitely the weakest MCU movie of the year for me, though there is still good things to like. Anyway, the post credits scene. I knew this was gonna happen, I'm sure everyone knew this was gonna happen, but I don't like that Hope was turned into dust at the end. Hope is a fun character, almost stole the show (Luis is the real best part, hail Michael Pena) and while she'll probably be in a future Avengers movie in Phase 4 or 5, I still feel as if having her be a part of the action for one film, then being left behind instead of being joined by the other characters left me feeling disappointed. Still well-done, and I like that Scott has his own predicament to get out of, but I still feel disappointed my fear came true.
  3. Three Identical Strangers isn't no slouch either, especially with this weekend's PTA hold. Will be fun to see if that film also crosses $10M.
  4. Something I really appreciate about this summer that isn't getting much attention is how well documentaries are doing.
