  1. Jurassic World 2 1166 3616 32.25% Comps (the following are final totals before their preview, not at the same point in time): 641% of Blade Runner ($209.8M) 128% of Thor: Ragnarok ($156.7M) 83% of Justice League ($77.9M) 583% of Jumanji ($210.9M) 540% of Ready Player One ($225.4M) 69% of Deadpool 2 ($86.8M) 108% of Solo ($91.2M) 46% of Incredibles 2 ($83.4M) Now I'm a touch concerned. I thought there would be a bit more of an uptick in ticket sales, but it only went up about 181. Not stagnant, but it should still be doing a bit better.
  2. Rob, I don't know why we have to keep telling you this, but no one wants your motion capture movies.
  3. Jurassic World 2 985 3616 27.24% A couple more showtimes were added. Comps (the following are final totals before their previews, not at the same point in time): 541% of Blade Runner ($177.3M) 108% of Thor: Ragnarok ($132.4M) 70% of Justice League ($65.8M) 492% of Jumanji ($178.1M) 456% of Ready Player One ($190.4M) 58% of Deadpool 2 ($73.4M) 91% of Solo ($77.1M) 38% of Incredibles 2 ($70.4M) Bit more reassuring, but still tricky to determine. Ragnarok still seems like the best comparison atm. In terms of tickets sold in total, it'll beat out Solo tomorrow. Could be on track with getting close to Deadpool 2's 1685 tickets.
  4. It's Discount Tuesday. What did you expect? EDIT: @george and wondy spidermanpoint.jpg
  5. https://deadline.com/2018/06/incredibles-2-monday-box-office-record-animated-movie-1202413253/ $23.9M
  6. Jurassic World 2 722 2877 25.10% Comps (the following are their final totals before their previews, not at the same point in time): 397% of Blade Runner ($130M) 79% of Thor: Ragnarok ($97.1M) 51% of Justice League ($48.3M) 361% of Jumanji ($130.6M) 334% of Ready Player One ($139.6M) 43% of Deadpool 2 ($53.8M) 67% of Solo ($56.5M) 28% of Incredibles 2 ($51.6M) 🤔 Obviously these aren't perfect correlations, because these comps had three more days of ticket sales, but it's one that's really hard to determine either way. Thor: Ragnarok seems like the safest comparison in terms of walk-up driven franchises, but with the latter three all being summer releases, it does make things seem bleak. But ofc, it's too early to tell.
  7. I was doing my presales thing and I noticed that on June 30, Hotel Transylvania 3 has a 3 PM showing on that day. Does anyone else have that happening at their theaters? Sony did advance previews with Smurfs and Jumanji last year, so it makes sense Sony would do it for this film. Also, it hasn't sold anything. When you try to buy tickets, it actually leads to a 404, I assume because it was just added into the site's database.
  8. Nutcracker’s the only problematic hurdle left, but I am feeling confident Disney will find a way after that Wrinkle in Fudge
