  2. I don't see as much, but there some Waves showtimes also popping up around my area too.
  3. at this point I'm hoping for a Glass upset over Little Women

  5. Jumanji: The Next Level Greater Philadelphia Area Seat Report T-9 and Counting Sellouts Showings Seats Sold Total Seats Perct Sold TOTALS 0 56 113 13,524 0.84% Total Seats Sold Today: 14 Comp 0.145x of Joker 9 days before release (1.93M) 0.785x of Maleficent (1.80M) 0.123x of Frozen II (1.04M) Adjusted Comp 0.401x of Hobbs & Shaw (2.32M) Actually not that bad all things considered. Like I said earlier, the film gained ground with many of the films listed, and while I'd argue none of these numbers would be any good, and the current total of seats sold is on the low side for a movie coming out in about a week, there's still a couple more days of action for it to really impress. Just gonna wait and see, but I'm optimistic.
  6. Only thing that really surprised me was seeing Bombshell in the top 5. I don't expect this to happen, but it would be pretty funny if this followed Hustlers and was another hit movie Annapurna dropped
  7. Was posted in the TROS thread, but might as well post it here https://deadline.com/2019/12/star-wars-rise-of-skywalker-fandango-christmas-holiday-moviegoing-box-office-1202799669/
  8. Expecting Space Jam 2 to be some big hit is basically asking to be disappointed.
  9. Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker Greater Philadelphia Area Seat Report T-17 and Counting Sellouts Showings Seats Sold Total Seats Perct Sold TOTALS 1 165 9,790 30,741 31.85% Total Seats Sold Today: 116 Comp 5.147x of Once Upon’s final count (29.85M) 2.826x of It: Chapter Two (29.67M) 1.994x of Joker (26.52M) 14.046x of Maleficent (32.30M) 11.240x of Terminator (26.41M) 2.913x of Frozen II (24.76M) Adjusted Comp 0.849x of Lion King (19.52M) 4.027x of Hobbs & Shaw (23.36M) Definitely a good day, always nice to see the film go above 100 tickets. But if anything, it really does show how underwhelming Jumanji did here when TROS still in the long-term sold more than Jumanji on the first day.
  10. Jumanji: The Next Level Greater Philadelphia Area Seat Report T-10 and Counting Sellouts Showings Seats Sold Total Seats Perct Sold TOTALS 0 56 99 13,524 0.73% Total Shows Added Today: 55 Total Seats Added Today: 13,388 Total Seats Sold Today: 89 Comp 0.166x of Joker 10 days before release (2.20M) 0.717x of Maleficent (1.65M) 0.108x of Frozen II (915K) Adjusted Comp 0.384x of Hobbs & Shaw (2.22M) I threw Joker on there since technically this is a 10-day ticket period just like that film (yeah the Game Awards thing was up earlier, but...c'mon). Then I added in some family hits and the other DJ vehicle. As always, it's important to recognize that I'm comparing films that have had a much longer presales period. Therefore, they already have a head start advantage. In the coming days, with this movie likely having a more rapid growth, things will change, likely in a good way. But...yeah, this first day does feel a little soft. I feel like doing less than 100 is very underwhelming, and it should have at least cleared that. But of course, this isn't really a presales-driven property nor genre, so hey, I'm optimistic.
  11. It's only been a couple hours, so I can't say anything definitive. So far though, it's not anything astonishing, but there's arguably not that much of a rush to get tickets on Day 1 anyways. I'll be much more concrete tonight, though it still won't be perfect.
  12. Prepping things up for Jumanji tonight. But I did a little dig into Playmobil. There's no Thursday previews (LOL), but I noticed that at almost all the theaters I looked at, tickets are only $5. Not a kids ticket, not an Atom deal. Just $5 period for any ticket. I get that this is the epitome of no1curr, but that is EMBARASSING
