  1. FWIW, my mom has been talking about this movie pretty much every time the subject of movies comes up in our household. Haven't seen her this excited for a new movie since Mary Poppins Returns.
  2. https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/box-office-ready-not-gets-widest-release-fox-searchlights-history-1233635?utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=social That seems pretty okay all things considered.
  3. The film panel's never been live-streamed before, so it makes good sense. We'll still probably get trailers for the stuff coming to Disney+ at launch released to the public at the very least.
  4. You've just put the idea of Awkwafina as a Bond villian in my head, and I don't know how to respond to that.
  5. https://deadline.com/2019/08/downton-abbey-fandango-box-office-first-day-sales-1202700908/ ‘Downton Abbey’ First Day Fandango Presales Bigger Than ‘Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again’
  6. There were previews last night, at least in my area (though not every theater that's playing the movie was holding previews), but they haven't been released yet. Hopefully we'll get something soon, probably with Deadline's weekend preview article
  7. Article confirms a Mandalorian trailer drops at D23 this year. Also would just recommend reading the full interview, because it's very entertaining.
  8. It Chapter Two Greater Philadelphia Area Seat Report T-16 and Counting Sellouts Showings Seats Sold Total Seats Perct Sold TOTALS 0 98 680 20,251 3.36% Total Showings Added Today: 1 Total Seats Added Today: 406 Total Seats Sold Today: 24 Adjusted Comp 0.399x of The Lion King 16 days before release (9.17M) 4.153x of Hobbs & Shaw 16 days before release (24.09M) Day 16 was a big day for Hobbs & Shaw, hence the big comedown. But that's kind of a good thing. Again, we have a pretty wide range, but it is shrinking down, and hopefully the picture becomes clearer before release.

Not much else to say

For whatever reason, today went absolutely crazy in my area. One theater in particular was selling so well, the 6PM show sold out. Now of course, as always, I'm not completely confident in these previews just yet. For all we know, my area might just be overperforming. But things do seem more positive than I thought. I'm very curious to see what @Menor has with his scraper tomorrow and see how accurate things are.
  12. We do now. https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/cruella-moves-memorial-day-2021-woman-window-pushed-1233375 August 7, 2020 @grim22 @aabattery main thread
  13. I don't know, I just kind of assumed that the prequel project was scrapped and turned into this one. Maybe we'll let the mods figure this out.
