  1. It's the same here. After Easter there is a week off for schools/highschools. It is the reason why FF7 was so huge here. It made about half of it's money in that week.
  2. Yes. And this following week it should have good holds. After that you have the Orthodox Easter, which should give it some nice late legs.
  3. This will fly past 1B. Are people actually thinking this will have less than a 2.35x multi, especially with the Easter holidays coming up?
  4. I want my OS/WW opening now damn it!. I think 420m - ish is where it will land.
  5. I actually hope it will increase on Saturday and come at 171-172m or so
  6. I want WB to fudge BvS over IM3. The meltdowns would be beyond epic.
  7. Well, I walked out of the movie theater like that, just like many other people. The fact that you didn't is your problem.
  8. My comment wasn't directed at you, but at 20% of the people here, so you can take a chill pill. And I'm an aspiring writer as well, and guess what, I don't need to nitpick over every aspect of a movie. Saying a movie is good is as subjective as saying a painting is nice. Storytelling alone doesn't do shit, if it is not combined with a bunch of other elements. I went to the movie with another writer and she seemed to enjoy it just fine. And I actually prefer a movie that doesn't follow a linear line, but challenges big themes than one which just is there, made by following a "how to". Fact is, most 90% of the SH movies coming out in the last 10 years are so pathetic in terms of storytelling in makes your brain hurt, but I haven't seen you rant about them. And finally, I don't have a problem with people that disliked the movie. I have a problem with people that over analyze every little bit of it, whether in a positive or negative manner. Movies, just like books, are made to be enjoyed. If you fail to understand that basic rule of entertainment then that is your problem.
  9. It will. WB will fudge it if needed. I'm thinking Fantastic Beasts could come over 150m over the weekend if for no other reason than the 5 year hiatus since the last movie. I'm guessing it will be like TPM, not critics wise, but with the fans hungry for something new. And I have a feeling the fanbase just increased in these 5 years. The books are still in Top 3 New York Times Bestsellers List 9 years after the release of the last book.
  10. That, and the marketing was on another level bringing even more awareness.
  11. Wow, the people here... who the hell goes to a movie just to write thousands upon thousands of words on what they think went wrong, critics aside? I mean, just to notice every single one of those details you must've been really really focused on that and it made you miss the entire film. Of course the movie was a chore to sit through. People go to movies to enjoy themselves... or most people do. What's the point in paying for a movie just to look for flaws every second of it? And if you do that with every movie how do you find a movie you actually enjoy? Is there really any movie that doesn't bother you?
  12. Ok, I'm gonna go rewatch the first Transformers movie. Thank you, Ethan! When I get back hopefully @Rth would have graced us with his presence.
  13. I know this is bait, but I can't help myself: LOTR: Return of the King Oh shit...
  14. So, before this thread goes to shit (actually, before it sinks even deeper in the pile of shit) do we get any numbers soon?
