The 2019 BOFFY Awards - VOTING DEADLINE TODAY
Avatree replied to The Panda's topic in And The Winner Is...
is this today? @The Panda @Spagspiria -
The thing is you are punished for being on time when you go to the cinema. If you are on time, then you have to suffer through adverts, and your popcorn and food will be cold by the time the film starts, the ice in your drink will have melted and turned your coke into watery sick. Should reward people for being on time not punish them. I personally tend to arrive at the cinema about 3-5 minutes before the actual film starts, so usually about 20 minutes after the advertised start time. I get to skip all the trailers and if I buy popcorn it's still warm when I eat it.

Didn't even know Mission Impossible had a 3D version. I didnt think any M:I were 3D. Sorry to hear that you get limited 2D showtimes. Here is the opposite, lots of films that have 3D versions, don't get given any 3D showtimes. Such as Fallout like you mentioned. Other big films from last year that got no 3D showtimes near me - Venom, Aquaman, Ant-Man, Spiderverse, Bumblebee, many others I can't think of. I don't even recall Black Panther getting 3D showings though I can't remember for certain.

I've never heard of the word Sematary I thought it was made up for the film? Or is it just a misspelling of Cemetery?

@CoolEric258 what do you mean? It had pet in the title so I assumed it was for kids. all I had seen of it is it listed on BOM on release schedule. had never seen anything else.

that's not really down to whether people want to see it in 3D, it's down to how the distributors and exhibitors choose to show it. I don't believe for one second that anyone was "hyped" for the 3D effects in The Meg. If that movie had a high 3D share it's probably because WB mandated that theaters must show it in 3D.

lolololol. I had always assumed from the title Pet Sematary was an animated kids film. whoops.
