Remember when they almost cancelled this movie due to that stupid fucking Poltergeist remake?

THANK GOD. It would make no sense to keep something with this much massive potential without an IMAX release given the emptiness of the market when it comes out.
It's flabbergasting that this is actually the 1st ever IMAX horror release. You'd think that IMAX would be perfect for horror.
Wasn't Paranormal Activity 4 released in IMAX? I remember thinking "nothing says IMAX like Found Footage"

Final Destination will probably come back again sometime, big franchises like that always come back.

He probably still has a big personal fortune from Lords of the rings + first Hobbit, but it has been a while is company has not been that relevant, what was the last globe he won ? Even Carol didn't won any.
Weinstien has nothing to do with Lord OfThe Rings movies.

Both TC movies were in the top 15 of the annual Deadline's most profitable movies list, and the only reason why the first Annabelle didn't appear, is because they only track movies that grossed more than $100m DOM.
That's not true, Don't Breathe was on the 2016 list and that didn't hit $100 million

Preview Number:$35 million
opening weekend: $300 million
domestic total: $2 billion

Nut Job 2 must be the worst opening for 4000 + screens, what where they thinking?

I just don't want to set myself up for disappointment

The melt downs around here are going to be a sight if this opens below $20 million.

Wish Upon was more fun than Annabelle Creation tbqh
I'm waiting on the Uncut version to hit before watching it. They cut 11 minutes out of that to gain a PG-13.
-
I find it hilarious that Annabelle will make more in its opening day than Wish (we cut ourselves down to a PG-13 cause R rated horror movies don't make money) Upon did its entire run.
-
Maybe Sony have turned Barbie into a horror film.
-
Happy Death Day REALLY should have been rated R. Would have probably made more money with an R rating to boot.

Damn horror is just crushing it this year! Split doing 140M, Get Out 175M, Annabelle might very well go over 100M, It's gonna open to 60M+, I could see happy death day doing Visit numbers, and Jigsaw's gonna do 30M OW IMO
I don't see Jigsaw doing much, and I'm a fan of the Saw series.

Great preview number for Annabelle, wonder why the better reviews didn't lead to Ouija 2 having great box office like this?

When can we expect preview numbers?

100m+ OW incoming
I wish people would stop getting my ones up that this will do insane amounts of money. It will be $25-30 million opening weekend.

Is that bad? That sounds bad.

I went to a screening of Annabelle, while I liked it no one I saw it with did and the audience was laughing at it.

There's a scene in the book they shouldn't put on film - and I wish wasn't in the book.
I'm getting fed up with that coming up. It's not in the movie so stop using it to try cause controversy, the amount of click baitey articles about it.
