Apparently, a user on superherohype mentioned few days ago that the movie is being pushed back to 2019 and today he says that another party is putting pressure to burn this thing all together or throw on some streaming service. Won't be shocked if this goes to netflix with a title change. Even Disney won't take this as it might tarnish their brand. I have a feeling that Kevin Feige is the other party. Fox/Disney must have consulted him and his reaction must be LOL worthy. Must have flipped a table or two.

If only fant4stic was so lucky. With another 1 year or so they could have completed vfx for action set pieces and maybe even added some big ones, but they had to make things tough for themselves by firing the director 2-3 weeks into post and then proceeding with shoots, which were a logistical nightmare and rushed. It wasn't until after the director got fired from star wars that they saw an opportunity to coerce him to oversee the final touches and do the comic con thing in order to make it look like he is actually still in charge. They just wanted to get it out on that release date no matter what else the rights would have reverted. Also, it didn't help that relationship with Disney/marvel wasn't good at that time. This movie at present isn't what fox wants or got nervous. It is probably fant4stic type situation and they have learnt their lesson so will take their time to fix or completely overhaul the movie. Might turn out just fine in the end because they have A LOT of time to make a new movie. As for Josh Boone, the good thing is that he won't get a bum rap as he didn't trash any house and hasn't verbally abused any executives on their face due to interference. The trades and everyone won't care as he isn't attached to star wars or something. Should quickly move on like Marc Webb. That guy is doing fine after ASM2.

Brilliant. dP2 might end up grossing more in Hindi version than English. I will watch it in Hindi provided the censor doesn't beep it to hell.

Wow....tomb raider is killing it in China. It's performance is similar to Kingsman 1.

So I just watched this movie in IMAX 3d..and just like TR I went in with no expectations. Was pleasantly surprised. The action/vfx was awesome, boyega and the young girl had some personality. It was a fun time. Just wished we had gotten more kaijus and some more time with the other cadets. 8/10. I have been very happy with my movie experiences this year. BP - 7.5/10 (went in with high expectations) TR - 8/10 (no expectations) PRU - 8/10 (no expectations)

Jesus. LOTSA COMEDY this year. And many of them involve the leads getting hurt. Physical humor I see.

Bad Moms was great and she is legitimate draw in such movies.

A24 is saving hollywood with these amazing gems.

Totally forgot there was Oceans 8 female ensemble movie this summer. Marketing must be really bad for me to forget it completely. I don't see it doing well. Other comedies will do better.

Most likely will end with a Valerian type score as that movie also started out well and then collapsed once US/UK critics chimed in. They might give this a pass as it isn't competing with a Nolan movie. Stupid Besson.

Nowadays, a director is just as involved in the marketing of the movie and gets to say when to begin. This movie needs great marketing and lots of positivity in order to break out like Suicide Squad/Deadpool. Frankly, this has more potential at the boxoffice. Comedy+Action+Adventure+Colorful+fun lead= $$$ Zachary is taking a page from Ryan by being very involved on social media.

Awesome. The hype train begins.

Both genders will agree that that's a nice number.

Critics are not being hard on it due to John Boyega. PC and all. Oh and Steven is well liked in the fan/blogger community.
