  1. That's what happens when you don't release it in 3d everywhere. Godzilla 14 had advantage of 3d prices. This is actually flopping os. Damn. Honestly, i have never been impressed with Godzilla's overseas tallies. They always underperform and this time it is flat out flopping. Sigh. If this does only 400+ ww then this is gonna be really bad for GvK. After Shazam another shocker for wb at boxoffice. Looks like people have saved their summer movie money for Disney/mcu tentpoles this year with occasional love thrown at something. Captain marvel, avengers , Aladdin, toy story, spiderman, lion king...
  2. Celine can do DP2 but can't do for Avatar? Common...James Cameron needs to convince/beg her..
  3. That's a bold subtitle. Knowing Hollywood they will chicken out and team them up to fight some common enemy.
  4. I hate to say this, but if past history is of any indication, Kong has always had an upper hand at domestic and worldwide boxoffice than Godzilla. Just go look at the stats.
  5. I think 50-60 on RT is what it will end up with. For me 50+ and above for cgi/action/adventure/comedy/blockbuster type films is worth a watch in theatres if you are extremely bored and have nothing to do. There are exceptions like TMNT 2014 that got unfairly hated upon. A fun action adventure movie with 30+% on rt.
  6. The original video interview has since been deleted. Clearly, he spoke too soon.
  7. You will be extremely disappointed if you are expecting R rating. Not gonna happen.
  8. Battle of the black directors. Tim will win this because shaft will more than make back its budget.
  9. Don't blame paramount for this mess. Tim Miller personally worked on this trailer...and was so excited to unleash it lmao.
  10. 200M. Another bomb like Alita. Sorry, but alita didn't breakeven. Under 100 domestic and majority of os from China where they get no more than 20% i believe. Still i hope to see an alita cg/animation on Netflix or Disney+ to continue the story from where the movie ended. It's a shame we won't get a sequel. Has been zero talks from the main guys since it came out. As for this, should crack 400 ww because brand is still strong overseas. But to match the heights of t2 or more, they have to improve marketing big time. Oh and the movie has to get 70+ certified fresh on RT.
  11. I still feel that Salvation had a great concept with good actors, but was ruined by on set drama and mediocre filmmaking. That and the trailers gave away too much leaving zero room for any suspense or shock
  12. I wonder how Kaabil will do in China. Good movie, but releasing after 2+ years and Hrithik won't appeal to Chinese as much as Aamir cuz of Greek like features.
  13. Will prove that Deadpool was awesome and successful because of Ryan Reynolds and not the writers or director. James Cameron has become stale. Legit concerned about Avatar 2 in terms.of visuals, action and even storytelling. Alita was good, but something was lacking, hence had very rough legs at BO. This looks better than Genisys and maybe the acting and fun action will be enough to win over critics, but I doubt because nowadays critics/movie bloggers aren't fans of JC and his tirade against superhero/marvel/DC movies. His statements against Wonder Woman will keep coming back to haunt him. Happened on Alita, will happen here and on avatar movies. Female critics will be harsher because you know how dare anyone tries to talk negative about "their" superhero.
  14. Says the person who said it is going to do a Billie and then changed to 500 and now will barely cross 400. Lmao. Bombs away.
  15. First marvel movie I found to be so underwhelming in terms of story telling, visuals, action and even performances..like everything was so bland. God knows how this got 80+ on RT.
  16. Good movie, but strictly for manga/anime fans. Hence, frontloaded as hell. Box-office wise, sadly a flop.
