  1. True. True. But we have to keep in mind...and i always say this when it comes to movies like this...is it's WOM and fanbase. And the marketing needs to shape up for KFP3, if they want a $200M DOM grosser, which is possible. And also they have 3 more sequels after the third one...which i doubt they could keep dropping. $150M DOM...is somewhere around "Over the Hedge" or "Megamind" numbers.
  2. I think so....that didn't stop MAD3 after 4 years. And even MI4 after 5 years. Those 2 films still increased despite the 4-5 years of waiting. And i think it will do better this time around.....there's no other big blockbuster sequel in January. Only KFP3. Legs and WOM will carry this thing. Look at how dead January and February is. Families are gonna want to see something with their kids. And KFP3 is no exception.
  3. Umm....IA3 & MAD3 says hello. It still has the four quadrants. Not just from kids, but from families, teens and even the fans as well who loved the series. I think this movie is way too underestimated. And i think this one will break records in China.
  4. True... But in the end..Hangover 2 won over the panda. Bigtime. More adults went to see that movie.
  5. This. I agree though....IA3 and MAD3 had rather a bump. So i can't see KFP3 not have the bump either.
  6. Well...the second one dropped due to being in the same weekend as Hangover 2. Pretty competitive month for a sequel that had too much competition. But.....i just honestly can't see this going lower than KFP2, especially with nothing strong going against it. And MAD 3 didn't have that 3rd movie drop....it had rather a bump. Not all threequels drop, you know? And with legs and WOM....i can't see it not getting big numbers again. This film is DW's only great hope if the studio can survive again.
  7. This. That's what I thought as well. Indy 4 was pretty well recieved. And I really liked Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.
  8. True. Michael Bay had movies like The Rock and the Bad Boys series.
  9. Now..look. I respect Michael Bay for what director he is...but he just needs to learn how to actually make good movies.
  10. True. For example, i really like the Marvel movies and the DC movies. But i don't go fanboying on one thing and hate the other. I like the movies for what they are.
  11. Well....yeah. They could do something that would make the next film better than the second, third and fourth one.
  12. Good question. Probably, China has an appealing thing for robot-movies. And they are critic-proof. But I do hope China shows some appreciation for some blockbusters that aren't always TF-related.
  13. I wouldn't mind a bit if they used the explosion scenes in necessary bits where there are action scenes. It's just that it can become exhausting for some people if its overdone. With all that said.....I still like the franchise. But they also have to bring something new to the table in order for us to be excited for TF5.
  14. Well.....heigh ho....An okay weekend but nothing spectacular. Now, next weekend on the other hand....will be much better.
  15. Well...$150M may not be enough for it..it almost puts it close to "The Incredible Hulk" numbers. And TIH made $134 DOM. And also...lol....lol....youre wanting to hate the film when it comes out..that's why. Not a problem with you or anything...it's just that fanboys will be fanboys. Not knocking them or anything..but..I'm not one of them.
  16. Yeah...but...did we predict that GOTG was going to open at $94M OW? Not really. But you're right. Because of its OW and WOM, it got to $333M DOM. But even with that....I don't think Marvel tries to...appeal their movies to just.....fanboys. They are trying to bring in GA as well. So I think the highest it could go is $175 DOM. But.....let's remember, it depends on WOM. WOM is always important when it comes to movies like these. You can't assume that it's fanboy hype will not bode well for Ant-Man when we clearly don't know exactly how it will turn out.
  17. Well...I said $175 DOM...for Ant-Man. But yeah....my number is more close to what GOTG did in 10 days.
  18. I have to agree with Krissykins on this one. GOTG wasn't that easy of a sell, and let's be honest....nobody thought that film would do $333M DOM. But that film got there through WOM. And that's one factor we have to keep in mind about Ant-Man too.....WOM. If it's good..it will have legs..and people will see it again.
  19. (This is getting ridiculous...) You know what, fine. If you want to prove us wrong with your "so called logics", fine I'll accept that. But don't ruin the anticipation for other people. Conversation closed!
