  1. I think the fact that people grew up with the miniseries and Pennywise is the essential scary clown is why this is blowing up the way it is. I've seen about 20 people share the trailer on Facebook compared to about 3-4 for Justice League and Homecoming. I feel like 100m dom is very likely.
  2. With this cast there is no way I'm missing this.
  3. Considering I thought it would be lucky to cross $50m (after the first trailer it seemed like it wouldn't resonate with audiences, I've never been more happy to be wrong) its definitely been the most I've been off in a BO prediction.
  4. And as long as there's something for those that prefer either one then I think the genre will be fine. As someone who enjoys both types of movies I say let more of each keep coming.
  5. Can't argue there since I love both Logan and Deadpool. After Fant4stic I was worried if Fox would ever get back on their feet.
  6. Yeah but that formula has given Marvel critical and financial success. As the saying goes if it's not broke don't fix it. Sure it's nice to have something break it once in awhile but it's understandable why it's rare.
  7. I don't think I've ever been more surprised at a BO run than GO. After the first trailer I figured it would be lucky to get more than 40 M domestic given how out there it seemed to be for general audiences. I'm so glad to be wrong.
  8. He's said that he doesn't plan on doing any franchise movies and wants to make more social horror movies. Which makes me have a ton of respect for him.
  9. And to make it worse the CGI from The Last Stand was better (still not good) and it was made 3 years before it.
  10. Yeah I'm not a Harry Potter fan at all but I can't deny the success the series has had both critically and commercially. As I'm sure you feel about the MCU.
  11. Perfect comparison. There was some dark moments in Manchester By The Sea that had me bust out laughing.
  12. Same here. Considering what all had just happened I think the audience needed that little laugh.
  13. I have never felt like any MCU film has ended without at least some sort of conclusive ending. At least nothing like Catching Fire where the movie ends on a cliffhanger.
  14. But seriously if you're not much of a comic book fan then of course something more like Logan or TDK would be your #1. I'm not saying it's the highest quality CBM just that it's my personal favorite as a comic book fan.
  15. I'm a huge CBM fan and enjoy both the building block movies and standalone ones like Logan. I seriously don't get the complaint of Marvel movies setting up the next film since isn't that what most sequels do. Having said that it is nice to have a movie like Logan where anyone can come in without seeing the other movies and have an actual ending that doesn't even set up future movies in the credits.
  16. Top 5 Superhero Movies. 1. Civil War 2. Logan 3. The Dark Knight 4. The Winter Soldier 5. The Avengers.
