I know how you feel about the first movie but at this point I don't think anything with Deadpool should be considered risky. And 22 Jump Street says hi.
Get Out isn't too far from where I saw its domestic run ending. It's always nice to have runs like it and Split that are good movies that resonate with audiences and come out of nowhere.
The fact that I'm rewatching A.O.S. right now and was in the middle of his episodes and Titanic on AMC last night makes it hit even harder. The same happened with Paul Walker as I was watching TFAF on some tv channel the moment I heard he passed.
Can I just say the fact that movies like Split and Get Out are more than doubling their OW than what I expected when I first saw their trailers truly makes me happy. BTW after seeing Get Out tonight with a crowd I'm hoping it can have some nice legs. As for the movie itself I can definitely see it staying in my top 5 of the year.
The fact that Get Out has been able to keep a 100 % score this long is truly incredible. As someone who's been a Peele fan since his MadTv days I'm very happy for him and the movie's success.
Jason Mantzoukas always comes off as Rafi from The League in almost everything I see him in and from the trailer this looks to be the same. Which is particularly not a bad thing.
I don't think it's a good thing when the only thing people know about you at the Grammys is the dress you're wearing. Sure you're making a "statement" but I'd be more concerned about my music.
Oh I know it's not the same creative team as Rings but Platinum Dunes doesn't have the best track record and while I liked Prisoners Eisner gave us The Last Witch Hunter so I wasn't expecting much.
If it would have been the same quality as Rings then I'm glad they pulled it. I'm glad that Halloween is on track with John Carpenter, David Gordon Green, Danny McBride, and Jason Blum involved. Carpenter saying he may do the music is enough to get me hyped.
