Exactly, some people care because Marvel fans is trying to prove SMH run is spectacular, but people trying to prove SMH run is meh is equally annoying.

I see an article about how the movie as sell like an indie movie and how this help the movie to not flop... so i think maybe the normal conditions of how much money they need to make a sequel don't apply here. Luc itself said recently, if Valerian gross something around Lucy, the movie will be profitable. Let's hope it's true!

I hope this could explode on China and get $ 500m worldwide. Seems so fresh, colorful, inventive, unique... deserves some recognize.

I agree. Thor 2 made $ 383m OS-China, i think ragnarok will match this, probably around $ 400m. Thor 2 made $ 55m in China, i think Ragnarok will double that, because the market is bigger now, Marvel is much more recognized now and they love Doctor Strange. For me, Ragnarok will finish with $ 500 - 530m OS and $ 800m worldwide, another smash.

I think IW will have remarkable marketing and the movie will be great... so i'm expecting $ 210 - 220m from debut and legs close to Ultron.
