Should be noted that the guy has made mediocre flicks before. Harsh Times, Sabotage, Street Kings. He's gotten better though. End of Watch was great and I've heard okay things about Fury.
Yeah, I'm a Christian and I will never, ever watch a movie that posits white Christians as victims in America. It makes me furious just thinking about it.
Schumacher is an okay example of what you're talking about. Phone Booth and A Time to Kill are good movies. And I've heard good things about some of his other older movies.
I've never been impressed by a Ratner movie though. The best thing he's done (Family Man) is still schmaltz.
Tomorrowland is a much better movie than BvS though.
Martin Campbell only makes good movies when he's doing Bond. That's his MO.
Snyder's been on a downward trajectory since Sucker Punch. I think Watchmen's box office performance changed the way he made movies.
My point was Green Lantern was a false start. The official start Man of Steel garnered a mixed reception. And now BvS, the first big step forward, is doing what it's doing.
I thought I was the only one who noticed that. Guy looks pale and frail in a lot of photos lately. Maybe that's just the toll of making a movie like this but damn...
