Here is how it will play out.... TG2 will have a small drop this weekend due to great WOM and Father's Day. Next week it will overtake JWD and be neck and neck with Lightyear. Then another great hold comes the following weekend. It ramps up again for 4th of July week/weekend due to obvious factors. Theaters will keep it around all through July and then the really thin August hits. I will not be shocked if this movie is playing strong until or maybe into the first week of October.

TG2 is clearing $600m. It's locked.

I have no love for Ezra fucking Miller, but where has he been tried/convicted or even charged with being a pedophile? Again, a lot of you are in a bubble. It could play out that way, but as of now it is nothing more than rumor.

There is the caveat that anything could happen, but most of you need to calm down. This movie is over 12 months from releasing and other than him acting like a fool in Hawaii, everything else is just rumor at this point. An enormous amount of time for this to play out. It can be as simple as they finally get ahold of him in the next few months, he does the Hollywood rehab stint and apology tour. Quite frankly, outside of the Twitter bubble and Ezra fandom, nobody in the general public gives a flying fuck about The Flash. All of the buzz is about Keaton and Affleck. You don't need Miller to promote.

I would also guess, but haven't looked, that Comcast further fucks the legs of JWD by announcing it coming to Peacock right at 45 days.

I think the biggest issue for JWD is the insane legs of TG2 going forward. Theaters are taking on 2 new movies next week and another the follwing week leading into 4th of July and Thor. Most theaters are going to opt to keep multiple screens of TG2 in favor of cutting screens of JWD due to the legs with Father's Day this weekend and another patriotic holiday with the 4th of July coming up.

This is off the top of my head, but I would guess by early next week if not sooner the TG2 daily numbers blow past JWD numbers.

Yep. The last 2 animated movies released this year have made a half a billion dollars in the theater. This one is going to make a half billion. 3 movies and $1b from theaters. Hey, I'm totally sure that studios are just devastated and going to stick everything on Disney+ or other streaming and watch the billions in theatrical revenue disappear. Makes total sense.

Like most everyone before him, he will calm down. WB isn't throwing $200m into the garbage over Ezra fucking Miller.

WB isn't likely to scrap this movie. The much more likely move is that Ezra will calm down in the next few months and then by the time it releases they will not include him in much if not all the promotion and all the supporting actors will be on the promotional tour. They will act like Ezra doesn't exist, the movie will release and make lots of money and WB will move on.
