I can confirm this. At least at my theatre anyways. I was running numbers with our GM last week and I told him to go to about half with what he had budgeted. Even with Wonder overperforming, we were still under budget, but I saw him Sunday night and he thanked me for "really saving our ass this week"
Continue following tracking and telling your boss this stuff, helping with financial planning
Who knows, he might give you a raise/promotion...
I'm a boss and I would if an employee did that sort of thing

Man, Thor Ragnarok is so awesome, my audience was really digging it. All the jokes landed.
This is a true crowd-pleaser, and would have quite exceptional legs if, well... it wasn't a sequel
At the very least 300M seems locked, the rest is gravy

Seriously at this point pretty much everything significantly above Thor 2 is just gravy.
290, 300, 330, who cares
It's a huge success no matter the metric

With 2-3 seasons for The Hobbit and the bridge between it and LOTR, and 6 seasons for the actual LOTR books... I think that could be the most ambitious show ever conceived.
And also one of the hardest to execute. So many ways, so many things that can go wrong.

I don't know how I feel about this.
The LOTR trilogy is my favorite movie series of all-time, and adapting that story to TV... I'm not sure it can be done, at least faithfully?
Whatever I guess, it can't diminish the original adaptation for me anyway so, I'll check it out if/when it comes out.

What can we expect for Blade Runner 2049 going forward?
Is 100M a possibility?
-
I don't care about the reviews or what people think
I'm seeing this movie. Right up my alley
(The Day After Tomorrow is in my top 100 all-time )

Do you guys think Geostorm can explode in China? I mean, it's a disaster movie
I should start a club: Geostorm OVER Justice League, Thor 3, Blade Runner 2049 (individually, not together)

Blade Runner 2049 - Oct.27
Thor 3 - Nov.3

You can expect smoother drops today I think because it's a Canadian holiday

Best film critic Chris Stuckmann review is up and gives it an A+
Awesome! Safe review no plot points at all.
Why is Chris Stuckmann always making those weird faces on his thumbnails?

Welcome to the Internet way of rating things.
It's either a 10 and perfect or the worse thing ever
Rinse and repeat for every single thing that comes out

Wu Jing just mentioned at the HK press conference of Wolf Warriors 2 that Jet Li, Donnie Yen and him are discussing a script and making a film together.
I saw a clip of them celebrating Donnie's wedding anniversary, in the clip there id also Alibaba's Jack Ma. If this film is made... might break a lot of records.
I'll be certain to check it out !!

Sony China hope it will make ¥1,000 / $150 million here. But I told them it would not happen

Looks like SMH will be sitting at around $750M without china.
Looks like the floor for final tally will be $850M, with an outside shot at $900M! Incredible performance
edit: if it reaches $891M, it will be the highest-grossing Spider-Man movie ever (not counting Civil War). Not bad!

So with all those Lady Bird comparisons to The Edge of Seventeen lately, I listened to some Hailee Steinfeld music...
I gotta say, she's a much better actress than singer
