I will say all of you are so good - I have a hard time ranking more than a few in a "real" order...I'm considering actually doing this ranking, but man, it's hard...it's almost easier for me to make separate categories of films 1st and then intersperse them (but then how do you decide if Galaxy Quest or Scream or The Lion King are actually "better" when they are totally different movies - although on Galaxy Quest - that's another amazing comedy that holds up and might be better than all the source material it's based on:)...

A BOT top 100 all-time?
Yes, that movie will be featured in my top 100, somewhere
Time to work on the list!

So just came out of this
I think it's a good movie, but the ending kinda... fell flat. I mean, apart from that terrible teleporting --
Oh I'm sorry but I have to delve into that.
So the guy blows his horn and rhinos come out of the ground seconds later? What the hell is this? And then, to top it all off, the huge guy with the snow army surprises another army by stepping right behind their leader, while the whole battle happens on top of a huge cliff? And nobody saw it coming, nobody saw them... climbing the hill? Like, hundreds of soldiers just materialized behind them?
I mean, there's suspension of disbelief and then there's this.
-- Alright, end of teleporting rant
I absolutely loved the supporting characters (Shuri, Nakia, and the others), they killed it in my opinion and definitely outshone the main characters.
Wakanda looks awesome.
The fights were simultaneously cool and terrible. Don't know how they managed that.
I was certain Ross was gonna die, no idea why. Well, pleasantly surprised he didn't.
Pacing was on point, loved the flow of the movie. Hip-hop soundtrack was a bit out of place during, I recall, one scene, but otherwise, loved it.
Definitely a movie that felt different, not so much in terms of story but everything else, so I enjoyed it a lot for that.

At this point, Black Panther's popularity might spill into Avengers 3 as well.
Like they say, a rising tide lifts all the ship...

List made by lame James Cameron loonies. Not that it changes anything but C'mon, you cant even play fair when you're already in first place, Are you the Patriots?
You use the re release numbers for Titanic yet don't include them for films like Jurassic Park or Star Wars?
If he only used original release, Titanic ($1.84B) would be under The Force Awakens, and he can't have that

What? How is that possible?
Did they release it in LA for like 3 days?
If so, wow as you said, they must be kicking themselves right now

Honestly, Boss Baby getting an animation oscar nomination while Your Name sits in the dust is just further proof that the oscars are really a joke (as if anyone who frequently watches movies thought otherwise?)
They should rename this category to best PIXAR or DREAMWORKS animation feature, would be closer to reality.
release date is april 7th 2017 so it's elligible.

No one has a better comedic timing in the entire MCU than Chris Hemsworth in my opinion.
Not even RDJ

He's the hero BOT deserves, but not the one it needs right now. So we'll GIF-spam him. Because he can take it. Because he's not our hero. He's a silent guardian. A watchful protector. An Ex Admin.

Donnie Yen’s fight scenes with his staff in Rogue One is one of the best (IMO, the best) Star Wars universe has to offer in term of combat sequences. And the funny thing is, Donnie Yen probably really could have did those blind cause compare to other stuff he had done in Hong Kong movies, they’re too easy lol.
I grew up a wuxia/Kungfu movies fanatic, and because of that, even though I loved Star Wars, my attachment is more on the story and characters. I always chuckled when people praised and gushed about any of its lightsaber fights. To me, they’re just so pedestrian.
I'm working on making a top 50 or so best fight choreography I could post on this website, with detailed reviews, if people are interested. It would be certainly different from typical tops. A movie could even score more than once if 2 epic fights are in it!
I've watched about 150 hong kong/martial arts movies (plan on watching more this year), and yes, the amount of American movies in this top would be pretty much... 0
Maybe 1 or 2 honorable mentions

lol what a disaster
I find this morbidly funny
Disney must be shaking their heads right now pretty hard
Also @Valonqar is 100% right on the fight choreography. Watch a lot of Honk Kong movies and you'll see -- if you think John Wick has good fight choreography, which I admit is still better than like 99% of American movies, it's not even close to the best Hong Kong movies. They've been at it since the 60's
To them, lightsaber fights are terribly boring, uninspired and unimpressive choreography. Donnie Yen beating the crap out of Jing Wu though...? That's a lot more interesting!

A bit more seriously.
I don't deny that the word of mouth is mixed.
However if the WOM was as bad as some on the intrawebs would have us believe, I find it difficult to believe this would be true:
THIRD WEEKEND CHART (ADJ)
I even made it adjusted AND kept the years where multipliers were much better than nowadays.
That is not a list of horribly received films.
Yeah, yeah. Three day shmeeday. One of them was NYE. Whatever.
My point is while the second weekend drop percentage wise was pretty damn big, this is still a movie raking in the bucks this weekend. And, yes, obligatory side note: It could be more.
But this is not the 3rd weekend of a film that has the WOM where half the audience hates it. 65% to 75% approval I'll buy. Hell, I'll even buy
15% hate
30% Meh
25% Good
30% Great
Though it's really unquantifiable.
But 50% dislike? This is not the third weekend of a film that has THAT kind of audience score. IMNSHO.
Moreover, week-ends during the end-of-year holidays are hard to compare not only between each other (example TFA vs TLJ), but also between other releases simply because of the awkward grosses due to Christmas Eve and New Years' Eve

Because, spoiler alert, Vader was destroyed when Anakin was redeemed in ROTJ. That's why you see Anakin's force ghost, not Vader.
Hence why bringing in Vader would, in my opinion, be worse far worse for the character of Luke and the entire arc of Vader in the OT than anything in TLJ.
I think that people (@Christmas baumer and a few others) who are suggesting that Vader makes an appearance in IX are really talking about Anakin making an appearance as a Ghost, not Darth Vader in his suit.
That would make absolutely 0 sense whatsoever. Why would he have his suit after his death?
...
...
Except if he wanted to troll a certain someone
That would be so like Vader I hope it happens now LMAO

But its China. Anything is possible i guess
Indeed. There is a non-null probability that the Chinese like it a lot more than TFA for some reason, and it has above-average legs resulting from this

This is like... light years away from the situation we're in with Disney buying Fox
Zoom out guys, see things outside of the vacuum. For starters, we have no idea how things will really go. Most of the doom & gloom is based on pure speculation so far.

Who the fuck are you that you're getting a bunch of screeners for movies that you don't want to see?
BTW, these indie movies make money. Otherwise, they wouldn't be made. Sorry that not every movie can appeal to total yokels.
I think he stated somewhere that he works in the industry or something, gets a bunch of oscar contender screeners every year
