5.25 monday means a 64.5% drop from Sunday
Not that hard
Rest of the weekday projections are actually fair I think.

WW's having an insane run, but the 70% Friday increases have to stop eventually..... right?
Not in a hundred years!

What's funny is that, Wonder Woman could have closed with a $275M total after that opening and it would have been an alright finish
Not huge, but completely fine, and WB should have been happy with it...
...
It's coming out of a $41M week-end with that total now
Unreal

I'm thrilled about Wonder Woman's success. $350m is locked without a doubt. I really hope it's able to slightly pass DH2.
Phenomenal for its genre and for the film. I love how it opened $65m less than BvS (which features Batman and Superman - significantly more iconic and well-known than WW) but is going to end up at least $30m higher.
Jenkins single-handedly saved the DCEU. If WW had been a dud, the DCEU would have been under jeapordy. I love that it was a female director and a female superhero that saved the franchise.
Aaaaand it also features Wonder Woman
Trying to make sense of this from a mathematics point of view is all sorts of confusing
Wonder Woman ≥ Wonder Woman + Batman + Superman
How the hell do you solve this?

WW's 3rd week-end and Avengers 2's 3rd week-ends will roughly match (around 1 million difference)
After its 3rd week-end, Avengers 2 added another $87M to its 372M gross for a total of $459M
I don't see Wonder Woman adding less than that considering that she has the benefits of summer weekdays.
WW will be sitting at around 272M coming out of the week-end, add 87 to that and the total is $359M
I'd say this should be a good floor for this movie right now

so much for scarlett being the biggest female box office draw, 2 flops in a row now
To be fair, she's a draw in action roles, and Rough Night wasn't.
And Ghost in the Shell is a quite niche movie
Put her in a Lucy-like role and it'll break-out once again

Guardians weakest jump of the top 10

SPIDEY has the benefit of the lead and ridiculously long legs (compared to movies today). Reaching it is still an extreme long shot at best.

Last week-end, Wonder Woman was several millions behind Spider-Man... every day
Now this Friday, WW's only $1M behind Spider-Man, and weekdays are much higher than Spider-Man because of summer weekdays.
She's catching up!
-
$10.85M ??!!
What the hell?
I literally just said yesterday in the 3rd week-end club yesterday that the club was as good as dead because it wouldn't jump more than 70%
WHAT IS HAPPENING? Could $400M HAPPEN?

Don't you know Lucy's success was all Besson. Get ready for history to repeat itself this summer.

Have you seen the movie? There's a really funny one-liner in it that takes a jab at the movie and it had me laughing my ass off.
I haven't seen it actually
Come to think of it, I doubt I'd laugh seeing as I haven't seen Suicide Squad either

Yes. He was a wee bit scared during the Barad-Dur bits and a little bored during some of Gandalf's explanations. We'll see if he wants to watch a little more tomorrow.
Theatrical or extended? In any case, with a child, I would definitely go with theatrical
It's much faster paced.

I could see The Hitman's Bodyguard doing $25-30m OW, it's such a simple but appealing premise and the marketing has been solid so far.
Wonder Woman's third weekend gross is in line with what I thought it would do and it's higher than the last three DCEU films' third weekend.
"Higher" is quite the understatement here.
Wonder Woman's totally reasonable 3rd week-end predictions from early numbers: $35,000,000, could even reach $40,000,000
Rest of DCEU 3rd week-ends:
Man of Steel $20,737,490
Batman V Superman $23,363,079
Suicide Squad: $20,855,401
Almost double some of them. Could double Man of Steel/Suicide Squad (1% chance) --
It's not even in the same fucking ballpark, and that was with the lowest opening of them all by quite a margin.
This run is unreal for a CBM
For reference, Guardians of the Galaxy's 3rd week-end gross was $25,115,564, although GOTG's secret box office formula came more in the form of a -0.7% (!!) 5th week-end drop.
