I think sws will be just fine in the long term, it's impossible to kill star wars as generations brought up on it. Han Solo seemed to me and the GA (im in touch with the GA) as a spinoff with famous television memestars rather than a major sws film. Star Wars will continue to make over a BIL with it's major films but if it wants to make the two billie club again they're going to have to make a truly groundbreaking film. To do that they will have to bring in a genius with big vision and overwhelming talent.

Well that's to assume that Glasses-less 3D would be shot different than regular 3D or can't be converted from the shots they do have. I don't see it happening though

That's a terrible place to start. fan subreddits are an echo chamber where all negative thoughts get downvoted. I've had perfectly reasonable posts obliterated. An example would be posting on /r/dbz that I thought Dragon Ball Super was overall disappointing for reasons A, B and C. I got killed. reddit sucks

The glasses free 3D was a rumour, maybe it's possible for Avatar 4&5 though but I don't see it happening for 2020.
