Star Wars 6. The Dark Knight 5. The Return of the King 4. Titanic 3. Raiders of the Lost Ark 2. The Fellowship of the Ring 1. The Empire Strikes Back
  2. I got 60% of the way through the 1st one and stopped for whatever reason, it was a very good BG clone I have to say.
  3. Jim says he's not bothered one way or the other and that he has a great relationship with Fox and that Disney already have a higher $$$ investment in Avatar (Disney Park) I'm happy either way, this is a James Cameron project not a Fox or Disney project, whoever is lucky enough to fund it and reap the attached profits is none of my concern. I just hope we don't get people praising Disney for the decisions they made with Avatar... when clearly it's 100% Jim.
  4. I'm extremely interested in that aswell especially after watching the THR interview with Tim and Jim, also don't forget Battle Angel Alita which is coming this December. There is an element of doubt behind those two films with them being directed by Tim Miller (T2 sequel) and Robert Rodriquez (Alita: Battle Angel), this doubt just doesn't exist for me with the Avatar sequels. Jim being heavily invested/involved in a film makes it 10x more interesting, Jim directing a film makes it the most interesting film yet to be released. I think you're being melodramatic here the Avatar talk came after the thread completely slowed down and the final numbers had already been in for 10 hours.
  5. I did my part but it was in vain! Now that I think about it Avengers is in your top 10! I think having 3 or even 4 Avengers films in the top 10 is the reason I don't think I'll be voting with your same line as reasoning next year. //////////// Glad T2 made it this low/high to #14 as there are so many great scenes in that movie, it knocks it out of the park scene after scene it's just not fair. From memory... Credit scene (unreal in 3D re-release by the way), future John Connor, Loony Pen Sarah, young John Connor intro scene with t-800 and t-1000 chase, loony pen sarah rescue, chase #2, Mexico scene, Dysons house, government building (dyson death/t-800 Gatling gun), chase #3 and the incredible steel factory end scenes. Seriously one of the most entertaining and re-watchable films just how an action thriller should be.
  6. I'll stan all of Jim's films it just so happens that, 1. Avatar get's hated on the most so I inevitable end up defending it mre 2. The Avatar sequels will most likely Jim's lasts films and he's putting everything he's got into them (he wants to go exploring the ocean again). 3. Avatar 2 is his next release making it the most relevant to box office theory
  7. 4 sequels! Would you have preferred it if The Two Towers was a sci-fi comedy instead of a continuation of fellowship? Avatar will be a saga for the ages, you laugh now but Jim always laughs last. I feel although if I didn't have comic books MCU to hate I would move on to something else, perhaps Nolan? To be honest MCU films aren't terrible they're mostly serviceable which is what makes them malicious, a formulaic assault on nostalgia. time to sleep...
  8. Jim and inactive is in the same sentence is something that someone who likes Cameron would never write! It's fair to be upset that he isn't making more movies but to blame him is selfish on our part, the man has other interests outside of film-making which take he chose to pursue instead. Who are we to attach a ball and chain to his ankle? The amount of preparation going into the Avatar sequels is unheard of and also has consumed much of his time, he spent over a year writing the scripts while the design team hammered away at the new entities and environments. http://www.deepseachallenge.com/
  9. while I must admit I need to go to sleep and am stuck too tired to go to bed limbo what I just wrote was truthful and correct
  10. TOG, it's in the top 5. In 2016 it had just one placement as the #1 and 2 top 5s. This year we have 4+ top 1s and a hell of a load of top 5s.
  11. I think the cash is good but if it's just going to be spend making more consumerist candy for the sweet toothed massed what's the point in that. To be honest I'm not complaining though MCU is keeping the cinema audiences attending which is great, also feeding them mediocre films so that when a truly great films film comes along it will make extreme gangbusters and break more records seen than every before making 4 billies worlwide and becoming the highest grossing film of all time by the same director not once, not twice but thrice though>
  12. You really don't like Avatar do you! I hope you don't make it a point to route for Avatar 2's box office failure because if you get too heavily invested in that you're in for a world of despair.
