I mean both Sonic movies made good money and got good reviews.
Well, making good money isn't what they want. Otherwise they'd have been happy with Angry Birds.
And Sonic got passable reviews.

My trepidations are two fold.
One, I'm not a huge fan of a Rebels sequel being live action, but I know that's just me, I'll get over it, I know.
Two is I'm growing some fear that we're just getting an adaptation of Heir to the Empire.

thats just the way videogamers have been trained to be
movies can survive and even thrive with a yellow mc, while for games that is a death sentence
I also think gamers are still chasing that "First Good Video Game" movie thing.

I really liked it also, but ,frankly, it does not look like it is going to make it;s saving roll at the box office.
It needs 300 Million to just break even; it seems very unlikely it is going to do that.
SOmetimes good movies don't do well and bad movies are huge hits; it the way of the film business.
I'm going to purposely fail my will save and believe and hope it'll have magic legs.
Or I'll go cry in the corner.

I think Mario appeals to casuals way more than Pokemon.
You're either into Pokemon or your not.
I would say Pokémon is bolstered by having a 20 year long television show.
Probably a decent size of people who know Pokémon don't play or know it has games

Said voice actor was a regular on the Howard Stern show, so this is, sadly, completely unsurprising to me.
Its just turning from the hearings for some to my escapism and find this. Just wtf.

What's the ETA on all movies from studios going to their respective streaming services and there will no longer be any movies or theaters anymore?
While out still.

Theater chain program has a big advantage over a movie pass, they pay the studio not the studio + theater, so the giant heavy user just cost them half of what MP would pay and they have the extra concession sales if they occurs.
That's what I'd love to see #s on, if concession sales have noticeably ticked up for AMC.

(Trump actually acknowledged the problems of the poorer states, he and his administration just don't have a clue how to solve them).
More like they don't care to solve them. Leaving them in that condition means they can lament it longer and milk more votes over more elections. Fixing it leads doesn't provide them that.
Money is in the "treatment" not the cure.

This will make The Mothman Prophecies look like a godly piece of fiction by comparison.
I was talking about the real event, but yes, the movie too.

Is this like the Mothman Prophecies? Where it all ends in tragedy?

I'm all for watch Wahlberg hit a kid in the face a few times and then emote like he meant to do it despite the scene clearly calling for him to have done it on accident.

Jimmy Stewert was robbed. And I knew I forgot to put Rope on my list.

is it possible to give an honest review or assessment of a film and avoid libel in the assessment? Particularly with movies involving musicians???

I rarely pull this card, but...
This needs to be fixed ASAP. Not only is it a cultural landmark when it comes to animation in many ways, it's also damn good.
It's also one of the very few times where the dub is actually equal to the sub. If not better, as a matter of personal taste.
I won't go full evangelical here, coz I nearly always hate it when I am on the receiving end of it, but I'll simply say that I'm pretty sure you'd enjoy it, given what I know of when it comes to your tastes.
Its been on my list. Just haven't gotten around to it.

Got to admit, I actually like the anime inspired ships and sets. Growing up on things like the 'vehicle team' version of Voltron (it was superior in all ways to the lion themed Voltron; don't @ me ) and ExoSquad (my personal White Whale for a reboot/sequel, BTW) lends me to really appreciate the art style, if not completely sold on the character animation.
But it's also reminiscent of Cowboy Bebop, which I naturally adore.
So I'm actually much more down for the animation than I thought I'd be.
The vehicle animation looks great. Its really the character stuff that is...whatever reservations I have. No small part to that character sticking both arms right in the air screaming...*shudder*
I've never seen Cowboy Beebop.
