So...Death Wish? But with Snow?

Today's the big change over, no? Wonder how that's going.

From the article:
Despite press releases touting MoviePass’ subscriber growth, the suit contends its business model was unsustainable and that it was inevitable that the parent company Helios would “run out of cash” or lose so much money as to raise questions about whether it could remain a viable business.
“MoviePass’ business model was not sustainable because there was no reasonable basis to believe MoviePass could monetize the model to a degree that could be maintained before being too buried in debt to survive,” wrote attorney Mark Levine on behalf of Braxton. (Read the full suit here.)
Uhhh... yeah. And any shareholder that did any amount of due diligence would have figured that out BEFORE investing.
You know, someone made a nice penny on buying these stocks a year ago, and selling them a few months ago. I regret I did not.

Make it so indeed.....
I wonder if this is not the oft rumored "Star Trek Academy" series, with Picard as the commandant.....
Picard would be happier as the groundskeeper.

Kind of? It's just using the same right-wing nutters as their source, regurgitating the same thing with no actual reporting or investigation going on.

Heh...ok. well of course I can only speak from personal experience, but it's people with attitudes like yours that make me not really anything more than toe dipper. And that's with one of my favorite shows ever being Anime. (Baccano! the fucking best)
And the fact you just categorically dismiss my comment only furthers my belief that it's people like you that makes anime unpalatable to a wider audience.

Like I honestly don’t care what people are into as long as it’s not causing harm to others (child porn, racist propaganda, actual immoral stuff like that). I have a few friends that watch anime, I watched a few episodes of it, wasn’t my thing, I moved on (I like some of Miyazaki’s stuff and I like Nintendo games, but none of those are anime).
I may inwardly think somebody has poor taste if they like something I don’t, but I’m not going to post an article trying to blast the character of pretty much everybody in the US (and Western Europe at that given American TV is popular there too) because they watch a mainstream genre of entertainment.
That’s what riled me up about the thread
I get you. As someone whose only danced on the fringes of anime, liking what I like, just moving on from what I don't like, it's some of the hardcore "enthusiasts" that just make Anime look bad to me. It's that weird my niche thing is way better than that mainstream thing that makes most fandoms suck.
That and as a casual fan of most things, seeing hardcore fans fighting about pointless things instead of just enjoying something they love. Also shitting on casual fans. Do that a lot too.

As a casual fan of anime, this kind of thing is what makes people not like Anime.

Whenever you go to a stupid costume party with friends, always ask yourself: "Do I want to work for Disney in 15 years?".
To be fair. The sane answer for most people would be, of course not. Those costumes are a bitch to wear in the Florida summer heat.

I also want to know how one can base all of American Television off of one episode of GoT?

Enjoyed it very much.

When I get a report from some place that isn't a shit hole like Brietbart I'll give a shit and give this thought.
Until then I'll just keep in mind the people who seem so desperate to call people pedophiles as morally bankrupt people who rather go on moral crusades than be human beings.

...Excuse me while I do a spot take. Someone is just seeking attention. Time to move on.

could this be the turning point of MCU
Nah. This really won't affect anything for MCU or Gunn. Ironically.

this whole situation is so weird
Disney [Now]: We've hired Gunn as a consultant for our Marvel-Cosmic stuff.
Disney [Next Week]: We've hired Gunn to direct a Marvel Movie
Disney [In two weeks]: We've hired Gunn to direct an untitled Marvel-Cosmic Movie.
Disney [In a month]: We've hired Gunn to direct Guardians of the Galaxy 3.

Academy should have the balls to not nominate Black Panther for either award.

What’s funny is the Popular Film category could end up having better movies in it than the actual Best Picture cat
Imagine, a world where Sci-Fi, Horror, Comedy, all get a chance of actually winning an Oscar.

Pretty much it’s a “Favorite movie over x DOM/WW” award. I’d reckon it’ll be a 150m cut-off (potentially even 100m)
Other years would have looked something like this
2017
1. Get Out
2. Dunkirk
3. Star Wars: The Last Jedi
4. Logan
5. Wonder Woman
2016
1. La La Land
2. Hidden Figures
3. Zootopia
4. Deadpool
5. Rogue One
2015
1. Mad Max: Fury Road
2. The Martian
3. Star Wars: The Force Awakens
4. Inside Out
5. Straight Outta Compton
So, it's the "let the commoners have there award. So we don't have to sully the real best pictures with their filth."
Great decision!

If the Academy really wants more viewers they should just add a Hulu and YouTube stream, since that’s the future of TV.
Oh god, so not only will it be 2 minutes of ads for 3 minutes of content, but it'll be the same 2 ads over and over again!

So...how do you categorize most popular for this? Whatever the critics voting liked best? Isn't that just the best picture category.
Basically, this is just the "Let the commoners have an award, and we will laugh, and laugh."

This show is for kids? I know when they announced a Star Wars cartoon for Disney channel, I wasn't expecting it to be for children. Stupid Disney not making everything for exactly me.
That aside, Just Poe being like stone cold about a dude being thrown off that platform (to their death??), man. Animation is interesting, will take some getting used to, but all in all hard to judge any quality off a 1 minute teaser.
Also, a fat Rodian.
