...wait. so they aren't just going to move you onto the new plan, you have to activately change it?
That email is amazingly condescending. And doesn't know what catering means.

Well, it's good to see people making jokes about pedophilia and rape after being so upset about someone making jokes about pedophilia and rape

I thought the accusation from D’Souza was that the Democrats are Nazis and Klansmen? This doesn’t really align with that accusation, given that the controversy is in regards to an Asian woman saying negative things about white men.
Shhhh, stop pointing out the inconsistencies, it makes it harder for him to pretend to be better than other people.

The one thing that gets to me is that they state that Moviepass will be available for "many studio first run films." The key word here being many basically says that they will still probably black out bigly movies.
Much like the vague language they kept using for peak pricing. What will and won't be available will change drastically in the next few weeks.

What makes AMC more desirable that Moviepass or Sinema isn't how frequently you can go. It's the wider range of options, the higher quality showings, 3D showings. Online reservation, even in advance, with no extra 2-3 dollar surcharge for reserving online. And the free upgrades, a lot of people like drink or popcorn at a movie, and saving a few dollars is an attractive prospect. Yeah, it's designed to make you spend more by using concession more often, but as far as when you look at the perks at sign up, those are attractive things.
It's why I even think Cinemark's plan is better than Moviepass and Sinema's, even with it only being one ticket per month. It's the no online fee, it's the 20% off concession. Those don't go away and can always be used whether you use the ticket or not.
The only downside is of course theater avaibility, which is certainly a sliding scale of how much of a downside that is depending on your location, so either very small, or insurmountable.

The way AMC A*list is going to actually make them money is by enticing you to buy a drink. Giving you little coupons, free upgrades on popcorn/drinks. It's still over priced, but odds are still in favor that you're likely to buy a drink or popcorn if you walk into a theater, so if AMC can get you in more often, to spend 10+ on a drink and popcorn, they don't care if they loose a little on the ticket price.

a-yup. Sorry we tried to gouge you and screw you over, we were wrong, please don't go to other platforms. We're sorry we wanted to create a surcharge the price of the ticket for basically any movie showing past 2 P.M.

Bautista is acting very immature and disrespectful. These people agreed the tweets were a mistake, yet they act like Gunn's firing is absurd. You may think Gunn deserves to be forgiven for the old tweets, but you have to understand many people do not, and this puts Disney in a very tough position. It's really not unreasonable that they want to avoid the backlash of employing a director that made so many rape and pedophilia jokes.
This whole situation is getting out of control and can put the third movie in danger of not happening, and I think the fans don't deserve that. They have been very supportive of these movies and this cast. Show your support for Gunn as you want, but have some respect for your fans and the company that gave you a job.
I didn't know you care so much about the GOTG movies. Mostly from fans of the series, they are also very upset about Gunn's firing and support the cast in standing up to it.

so this is predicted to only make 24.9 billion this weekend. What happened to this being a must-see event of the year. I guess Disney will half to settle with The BFG and Pete's Dragon Numbers.
...you'd think this was a Star Wars movie with how obsessed you are with it.

Ah, but will I be satisfied with how they are represented? Thanks for answering!
That, I don't know. The dream Heffalump is definitely in the mold of E. H. Shepard, if that helps things.

Ah, are they just cartoons?
Huh? No. Well, I guess the Dream ones technical are, I guess, but that's more in the spirit of the original books.
I'm really not going to say how they're used outside the dreams though. I thought they were used perfectly for what they are generally a metaphor of.

Please don’t be joking!! What do they look like?!
Honestly, the way the movie uses them, it'd be unfair for me to tell you. It isn't in the traditional sense.
Though a truer Heffalump does appear in a few dream sequences.

Yes. Fighting a heffalump is a plot point. And a final confrontation is with a woozle.

For what it’s worth my audience which was reasonably filled and had a lot of kids ate this movie up. People clapped at the end. Not sure where the reviews that kids will be bored are coming from, because it seems like they all loved it.
Kids in my audience loved it. I'm going to guess that it's reviewers thinking kids will be bored.
