I think the key reason infinity stones can be so believable and widely accepted by audience is that Marvel already showed us the powers of these things in so many MCU movies from the first two phase. And we all have been convinced at the emotional level. If they just suddenly tell us that characters can do whatever they want with these things (especially that snap) in the latest two Avengers movies, it definitely would cause a major puzzle for people who don't care about comic books.

Nowadays Marvel are doing things like Gala showing dressed people instead of movie telling good stories. Metaphorically speaking, it's like academy who want better ratings tell people we're going to show you limitless surprises during Oscar like Will Smith hit Chris Rock type dramas instead of congratulating good movies and filmmakers.

The teaser further convinced me that I already saw the whole story for the sequel. A really really beautiful and powerful story. People probably get wired why Cameron suddenly do Fast and Furious stuff. But don't forget: Both Terminator 2 and Aliens are family-theme stories. One character may be not related to others, but they act and fight like a family against threats. Ripley is not the mother of the little girl Newt, but her maternity and the desire for survival led her to fight their way out of the crazy planet. T-800 is not John's father, but he act like an old man instead of killing machine under the influence of the boy's moral restraint. In 3rd act, those characters get together to fight for the people and things they love. For Avatar 2, Cameron is going to do the same. A emotional and powerful story. Can't wait for this.

I was surprised that DS2 was at 6th place of Fandango's most anticipated films list early this year. JW3 was at 5th place. I know the list is not equal with BO. But should we expect a higher opening weekend for dinosaurs? I guess the reason Batman is at 3rd place is it's a Spring movie. But why Spider-Verse in Oct can be the second most anticipated movie?
