I know I'm in the minority, but I loved TASM 2. It's probably the one that I keep watching as soon as I can. Don't ask me why. lol
TASM 1 was so so, but had the best Stan Lee cameo in my view. His cameo in TASM 2 was shit and his cameo in Homecoming was another shit.
I didn't hate TASM films at all, I was really curious to see where the story was gonna go
(-Rhino).Maybe many also feel the same way as plenty feel Garfield got screwed.

TASM2 is on TV. This movie is vv good. Second best superhero movie of 2014? Yeah I think so
My son is actually sitting down watching TAsM2 right now but SM:hC didn't have his attention at all.
Im serious this 5yr is sitting here like he truly gets the story.
While in the movies all
he kept saying was something about the other Spider-Man now when TASM2 comes on he says "This the Spider-Man I was talking about Daddy"...True story .

I've also ran out of likes but this. However 2018 will be the true test since we'll have 10 Superhero movies (9 CBMs).
Also how long has it been since we went without a summer Billion dollar CBM?

What's even more impressive is that DCEU and MCU together will have #3-7 on the top 10. Hell all of them might make the top 10:
Jedi: $1.8B
Beast: $1.26B
F8te: $1.23B
JL: $1.05B
DM3: $925M
SMH: $875M
GV2: $860M
WW: $780M
Pirates: $750M
Thor: $725M
Out of likes...I think superheroes are doing exactly what they always was intended to do both in comics and in reality.
The genre is strong and it's saving the boxoffice as of now ,Hell without thier numbers each year will be extremely low.
Those who hates CBM really needs to respect them as they are keeping Movie going alive.

Man these boards went severely downhill from the old Box Office Mojo days didn't they?
Mostly just a bunch of fools posting gifs rather than anything of value.

The biggest issue I have about SM:HC numbers is summer 2017 with no Billion dollar film looking pretty certain at this point

SMH is one of those movies people are shocked it's actually good when they finally watch it on red box or home video.
But it's getting bashed on facebook and other non-comic book nerd forums, so I wouldn't say it's getting great WOM.
Spider-Man fans seem to bashing it like crazy on the interwebs.
There ,I fixed it for you.

Everything slowng down
. Curious to see what happens with Dunkirk
Spidey drop doesn't look pretty, but it isn't doomed yet, 4% worse than Minions and 5% than AntMan. On par with TDKR
If it follows TDKR then 325 dom will be the area where it will land.

Not really. I mean when this is the sixth Spider-Man movie in 15 years, even with Iron Man there has to be some fatigue. Sure only ASM2 was rotten but there was still a lot of people who didn't like ASM or SM3. But still a $117M/$300M performance ain't nothing to cry about. However the sequel will do better, they should move it from its current spot (opening the same day as Pets 2 and two weeks before Lion King doesn't bode well). I do agree we had expectations to high though.
So you are saying that 200,000 votes implies the entire country????
These votes are actuallly guys and women just Like me and you mostly. My mom ,Aunt.Uncle,Grandma isn't gonna in to that kind of stuff but they have seen every film we have discussed on this site.
Yes the logic can be used that this is Spiderman plus the MCU and it should be doing much better.
I know it's not fair to say this but in today's world If a reboot doesn't outgross its predecessors in every way then it's not a success .This is fanboy logic but it seems to be used elsewhere.

Moderation:
Can we please stop re-litigating all these old DCEU and MCU movies? It's absolutely insane that you guys are compelled to talk about nothing but, and especially that you're always trying to put one universe down while pushing the other up.
I'm sorry as I just replied to someone else.
However I didn't intend for any MCU vs Dceu debates.

Even when you look into RT, SM3, ASM1, and ASM2 all had better audience reception than MOS, BVS, and SS.
Pretty soon we all are gonna understand that these online scores sometimes isn't accurate to the film as much of them are Fanboy driven.
Spiderman+MCU+Ironman+95% should do better however we are stuck with many saying that the last Spider-Man films screwed this one over when in reailty the film was just underwhelming to some.

I think it's implied, because so were the spidey movies. And two of those 'poorly received' spidey films are fresh on RT
People just need to wake up.
I have seen more rants on YouTube about SM:HC than any other MCU film.
Its safe to say some people was not satisfied with the film.

Wonder Woman was coming off three poorly received DCEU films too.Poorly received by critics but all the films had positive audience scores on all sites.

This is a pretty sad thing to do
Actually,We really need to stop thinking popularity equals boxoffice.
Gotg
WW
Deadpool
SS
All are new charaters to the G.A and there's a reason why they did so well.

In the grand scheme my dude, it's all recent years.
Phase one is done so recent years would be after it.
Or should I rephrase .....Will a 60-61% drop be the biggest in the MCU phase 2??!Anyone??

The Incredible Hulk dropped 60 % on its second weekend, CW 59 %, Age of Ultron 59 %, Captain America 61 %
I did said "Recent years".

If SM:HC drops 60-61% will that be the biggest MCU Drop in Recent Years???Anyone?

50% weekly drops from here on out get WW to ~$388.89M.
45% drops get it to ~$392.27M.
40% drops get it to ~$396.44M.
35% drops get it to ~$401.83M.
30% drops get it to ~$409.03M.
25% drops get it to ~$419.06M.
Im gonna go with the 40%

I've been thinking people have been overestimating how SM's legs would be from the start. 60% drop would make a lot of sense
Some believe it was going for a 3x

Not the best comps but something to notice: SS, GOTG, Dawn, and ASM1 increased 60%+ Friday. SMH could do the same. However I'm thinking $47.5M-$48M for 2nd Weekend.
Hopefully it holds better.
Weekend Actuals (Page 150): Apes 56.3M | SMH 44.2M | DM3 19.4M | Baby 8.7M | Big Dick 7.5M | WW 6.8M | Wish Upon 5.5M | Tomatoes losing their power
