I was unfortunate enough to see The Wild in theaters. Holy shit that was dire. On the other hand Treasure Planet was the first movie I ever saw in theaters and it was pretty epic.

And they aren't even emotionally manipulative which is the main thing he hates. They're fun action comedies.

Only other movies I saw in theaters that season were National Treasure and... Alexander. Oh yeah, I got my mom to take me to that. She closed my eyes so I wouldn't get to see Rosario Dawson's breasts in the sex scene which obviously ruined my entire childhood thanks mom.

Great experience. I was the perfect age (11), it was New Year's holidays and the biggest screen in town (which remains the biggest non-IMAX one even today). Still my favorite Pixar movie.

I'm 24 and when I started following box office I didn't even have a home computer so I had to go to my mother's workplace across town to get a look at the actuals and physically print out as many BOM charts as I could get away with at a time in order to go through them at home. That shit hardens you.

He kept verbally abusing people long after it stopped being funny to anyone. Allegedly he hounded them by PM too which is a whole other level of shitheadery.

Still haven't seen Donnie Darko but I sure hope Aster's career doesn't go the way of Kelly's. In his shorts he displays a stronger handle on his storytelling craft than here, he just needs to finesse his way with larger narratives.

Taking Blunt's point of view was what made the original interesting. The trailer for this is selling a much more standard movie although I'm hoping Sheridan threw some curveballs in there.

If it hits 70 then an OW in the 160s is assured but I wouldn't go higher yet.

I admire Wendy more in the movie every time I watch it. Both the character and performance. She's strong and a survivor and she earns the status of the story's real protagonist, and showing the depths of her fear pays off all the more because ultimately she does not break. When she and Danny reunite outside the maze it moves me almost to the point of tears.
