  1. Apocalypse is far from being a flop or disaster. Fox should be glad that Alice is flopping and Warcraft is predicted to get low domestic numbers. Overseas grosses are fine on their own. It dropped less than 50% overall ( if compared to its opening overseas weekend of 100 million ). It has China and Japan to make a good money, and some money from the rest of the markets where's holding well against Alice and even Warcraft. Yeah, TMNT 2 might break a lot of things, but usually the worst performing movies ( Alice ) will be broken first and usually bigger. 600 million for X-Men Apocalypse possible!
  2. I don't know if people are still talking about piracy, but there's already a cam ( russian one ) for Warcraft online...:( I'm not seeing, though. My money will go to the producers who gave their best to come with the movie. I'll be watching it soon.
  3. It had a 100 million opening for its first weekend overseas, it made 30 million more during the week and 55 million for its second weekend. I say that's a good hold, by all means. It dropped less than 50% overall and still managed to hold Alice quite well. It still has China and Japan coming around. This can easily get to 400-430 overseas, if not a little more. 600 million worldwide still possible. X-men won't need to worry about Alice and Warcraft ( predicted to flop ), regarding domestic box office. TMNT 2 is probably the one that might give a run for its money. All in all, 600-610 million for X-Men possible.
  4. I think overseas numbers are fine. It opened with 100 million, then it went on to make 30 million during the week and 55 million for the weekend. If it gets at least 90-100 million in China + 130-150 from the other markets, we still might get to see 400-430 million overseas. I don't know, lol.
  5. Wow, Alice crashed and burned ugly... Not good for X-Men, BUT Alice flopping might help X-Men in the long haul. People were saying Alice would crush X-Men. If Warcraft underperforms too, X-Men might still hold well. I'll say X-Men will have ant legs, which means it might perform like Ant-Man ( domestic ). Ant-Man opened with 57 million and went up to 180 million. So, that's my final prediction. Any news about overseas numbers from X-Men?
  6. BVS had laughable legs, both domestic and overseas. X-Men Apocalypse might underperform, but it won't drop that much and I bet it'll have a better multiplier. Hell, even Fantastic Four had a better multiplier than BVS. London Has Fallen also had a better multiplier.
  7. So many surprises this year: Deadpool surprises everyone with a huge performance for a R rated movie, without 3D and without a China release. BVS surprises everyone with huge drops after a big opening weekend. It also managed to have bigger drops than Fantastic Four and and a smaller multiplier than this maligned movie. Civil War surprises everyone with its front-loading performance and big drops overseas. It's also performing worse than Iron Man 3. 400 million domestic might be in jeopardy. X-Men Apocalypse surprises everyone for being the lowest grossing movie, at least regarding domestic grosses. It's holding well against Alice overseas too, so i guess that's another surprise. Suicide Squad and Doctor Strange will be the next targets. I'm not feeling this new Joker version. I'm more excited to see Doctor Strange, but the director is the same guy who did Hellraiser Inferno. So, I'm being realistic to not expect a huge performance from it.
  8. Bad numbers, but I guess Fox is probably focused on overseas grosses. Is the movie performing good overseas? Fox should be glad that Alice is flopping badly. If Warcraft also underperforms ( at least domestic ), maybe the next drops won't be huge like BVS. I'm sorry, but no movie will have BVS multiplier. Hell, even Fantastic Four had a bigger multiplier than BVS. London Has fallen almost had a 3 multiplier for its opening weekend. 200 million is dead, BUT I'm curious about the drops. Given its A- cinema score, I guess audiences are liking it ( even more than First Class ). So, my final prediction for Apocalypse: Domestic: 160 million Overseas: 430-450 million Worldwide: 590-610 million.
  9. Fox is lucky because Alice is flopping hard ( both domestic and overseas grosses are horrible ). So, chances are that X-Men will hold well against Alice, for its next weekends. I was really thinking Alice would smash and crush X-Men at box office, BUT that doesn't seem to be the case. I really think Warcraft would be the movie destroying everything, BUT at least that doesn't seem to be the case with domestic numbers ( predictions are really low for this movie ). So, chances are that X-Men is also probably going to hold well against Warcraft, at least regarding domestic numbers. While the opening weekend itself might end up being disappointing, Fox has nothing to worry about. They already had a huge profit with Deadpool. Apocalypse won't make less than 500 million worldwide, either. It's all good. I really loved Apocalypse and I had a hell of fun with the movie. Deadpool 2, Wolverine 3 will be made, no matter how disappointing are numbers for Apocalypse. People really need to calm down.
  10. Is Apocalypse doing good business overseas? I thought Alice would crush its legs, but I was wrong. Maybe thanks to Alice flopping, X-Men might perform better in that regard.
  11. Damn, poor Johnny Deep. Despite his problems, let's hope he won't turn into Johnny Debt! He's not a bad actor. In fact, I liked and even loved some of his previous movies. At least, he won't need to work like crazy, like Michael Madsen or Eric Roberts. Do these guys even sleep? Roberts has 44 movies this year. lol
  12. Then, what's the point of Apocalypse's post credit scene? It was clearly setting up events for the next solo Wolverine movie. If it happens after DOFP future Wolverine's ending, it's gonna be a mess.
  13. I don't know, but won't the next Wolverine solo movie happen right after the Apocalypse's events? If so, Stewart can't be in the movie. This is a new timeline. They have to show Wolverine joining the X-Men, if it's indeed Jackman's last movie.
  14. Just calm down, folks. We're still talking about predictions. The actuals might be higher or lower. That being said, even if Apocalypse underperforms, that's just a tiny misfire. Fox still had a huge profit with Deadpool, Wolverine 3 is confirmed, Deadpool 2 is coming, X-Force is probably coming too. Overseas grosses will probably be interesting now. I predict 420-440 million tops.
  15. Thanks for the update, though these numbers probably have changed again ( they were from 2 days ago ). Do you think we'll have more than 200 million overseas, by the end of the week?
  16. It's a good number for Apocalypse. Some people want this movie to fail ( I wonder why ), which means any positive news are gonna be downplayed by haters. Just relax, guys. I also think it's gonna have better legs than BVS. I can't believe that BVS has such pathetic multiplier. It didn't even manage to double its opening weekend numbers.
  17. I barely liked Age of Ultron, but the 75% is not the movie's score. You have to look at the average critic rating and the topc critics average. It's at 6,7. Robot action is getting stale. Ultron had bad CGI too. BVS shocked me at first. I also liked the movie, but it was insanely flawed. It tried to be a ton of things at the same time. It was a MOS sequel, a Batman reboot, a Justice League set up, the Flash dream scene is probably a hint to a future Injustice plot, and they tried to put the most famous Superman arc ( Death and Return ) in a 20 minutes fight, lol. It was crazy, I understand its bad reviews. It was all over the place. They really need to make a focused movie. X-Men Apocalypse surprised me, because I wasn't expecting anything. The plot was fine, acting was fine, Quicksilver scene was amazing, Magneto arc was really emotional ( better than anything in Civil War ), Apocalypse was ok. I loved X-Men Apocalypse.
