Is WOM good for X-Men?

66% on RT now...Jesus!!! The sequel disease is on now.

Wow, The Conjuring 2 RT is dropping really hard. It was at 84% some days ago and it's at 68% now. lol

I'm positive that TMNT 2 will have turtle legs, which means bad legs overall!

Wow, depressing drop for TMNT 2. At one point X-Men will beat it's daily gross...

I can say people won't care about Olympic Games here. I know I don't care and I won't care once it gets started. The country is sick, really sick. It's bleeding like crazy, thanks to the corruption, violence and politicians. I live in Rio and it's shocking to see so much money being spent for stuff that will be forgotten in the next months. Our hospitals are broken and lacking money. People are dying because some hospitals are overloaded with more and more people who come from other places ( because these places also lack resources ). We can barely leave with our families, without being afraid of being robbed, attacked and harassed by hobos. The fear is there, and it comes to stay. No sane person would feel good by coming to a country full of diseases ( Zika virus is just a tiny example ). That being said, cinemas are full today. I bought my ticket for Warcraft and hellllllllllllll, what was that? I could barely walk, lol. I can't wait. Unfortunately my kids can't watch it, yet ( they are way too young ) and wife doesn't like movies based on games ( she's biased because she loves Resident Evil, so I called her out of her BS,lol ). So, I'll be going by myself. Hopefully it's good.

So, is X-Men performing well? If so, can it make more than 100 million in China?

Downey's Jr paycheck alone is at least 40-50 million.

I really hope Warcraft makes a good money in China and everywhere.

I think Warcraft is gonna be the BVS of the game movies. It'll have a huge opening and a huge drop, unfortunately. Its presales got slower, while Apocalypse's had a great bumping ( people thought Apocalypse would flop, but its numbers picked up ). I don't want Warcraft to fail, but I hope it's not victim of it's game hype. It's up to general audiences, I guess. I'll be watching Warcraft soon.

I think Tyler Perry's movies barely make a dime overseas...

Hopefully X-Men will have X-Legs there. It seems word of mouth is good there, regarding this movie.

Universal keeps making more than Avengers. Jurassic World makes more than Avengers, and Minions might make more than Civil War. That being said, Civil War won't be making 1.2 billion worldwide.

Wonder Woman will perform fine. It had a budget of 100 million, according to the news. It won't flop by any means. I loved her character in BVS. Batman was also excellent, Affleck really surprised me.

If domestic grosses for Apocalypse end between 150-166 million and overseas grosses end at least with more than 400 million, there's a chance it might make 600 million worldwide. Deadpool wasn't released in China. I wonder how much money could have been made there. 1 billion for Deadpool wouldn't be out of reach.

300 million worldwide for Alice is probably out of reach now... So, Alice 2 final worldwide numbers will be smaller than Alice 1 final domestic numbers. That's insane, lol.

TMNT 2 opening weekend seems inflated...I bet it'll drop after the actuals... Barely OK for X-Men ( at least it dropped less than The Last Stand and it might make more money overseas, despite competition ). Disaster for Alice.

Will X-Men manage to finish this weekend, with at least 400 million worldwide? Overseas grosses haven't been updated for a while, we have China release and a bit of money from domestic weekend. I'm really curious about overseas performance.

Producers only get 20-25% from China's grosses. Domestic grosses are still important, because that's the place where producers get a higher piece of money ( usually 50-60% ). Usually, producers only keep about 1/3 from overseas grosses. So, Warcraft budget is 160 million + money spent on marketing/promotion/advertising. There are domestic predictions showing Warcraft might have a final domestic gross of less than 50 million. So, let's imagine that Warcraft makes 50 million domestic, 300 million in China and 200 million ( from other countries ). 50% of 50 million would be 25 million. The rest goes o theaters and distributors. 25% of 300 million ( China ) would be 75 million. 1/3 of 200 million ( around the world minus China ) would be more or less 66 million, give or take it. So, producers will get 25 + 75 + 66 = 166 million. That would mean disaster and no sequels, given the huge budget. Why do producers keep making such expensive movies, it's beyond me. As bad as Resident Evil movies were, they were always cheap ( the last one will have a budget of 90 million ) and they kept making a nice profit, which is why we'll see a 6th movie.
