  1. Also, JUMANJI: THE NEXT LEVEL is confirmed to open early on 4 Dec (presales have already started for a few days). However, the presales does not look that hot, so we might not be expecting something as big as the 2017 one.
  2. With a very soft 45% second week drop, #Frozen2 is now #1 all-time animated movie in Indonesia and the first ever to break $10M. Admission is closing in on 3.5M, will surely reach 4M.
  3. Even if FROZEN II has the customary 2nd week 60% blockbuster drop, it will get to $9.7M, which makes $10M a foregone conclusion. And looks like it's not dropping that hard. So $10M on second week is achievable.
  4. No official number yet, but looks like #FORDvFERRARI had an excellent 2nd week in Indonesia and might be racing towards $1.5M/470K adm. If true, that's already a 2.5X multiplier which is truly superb. Cinepoint numbers not updated yet, awaiting confirmation.
  5. Indonesian OW #Frozen2 $6,200,000 Minions $3,495,751 The Lion King $4,852,527 (considered as "live action remake", not animation) Both are busted anyway. #Frozen2 is true undisputed champ.
  6. 2019 Top Import OW 1. Avengers: Endgame 2. Captain Marvel 3. Spider-Man: Far From Home 4. Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw 5. FROZEN II 6. Joker 7. Aladdin
  7. That would be very very hard, as I have heard that JUMANJI: THE NEXT LEVEL is going to be bumped earlier to Dec. 4 instead of Dec.11. Then again, that looks like Sony lobbying to get some space (pun intended) from STAR WARS: THE RISE OF SKYWALKER. At this point in time Disney might be saying, hey, look how big FROZEN II is. Do you guys really wanna "let it go"? 😁
  8. For Indonesian box office updates, please download my mobile app Cinepoint, available on Android and iOS. You can also post the screenshots if you'd like to.
  9. Since Disney considers THE LION KING to be a "live action remake", then yes, it's MINIONS.
  10. On a side note, crappy Nicolas Cage movie PRIMAL enjoyed some sold out shows last night. These kinds of movies are pre-sold to Indonesian market, so no grosses were ever reported. I'm gonna do something about that with my app Cinepoint.
  11. Nope. Let's see the Friday update, maybe Disney will release it. FROZEN II at $99.6M WW on Friday.
  12. I do have to add that CHARLIE'S ANGELS had the customary 5-day opening week (from Wed), while FORD V FERRARI only had FSS. With fewer screens, natch. That being said, the occupancy rate for FVF *is* much lower than CA. Just came back from a sold out screening of FROZEN II. It already broke the record for #1 OD for animated movies in Indonesia. Surely OW record is coming as well. The movie itself I consider rather bland and forgettable, with a rambling and nonsensical plot.
  13. I have the full 8-week run data for TLK. No, it didn't crack $10M. The Lion King Week Start End Cume Wk Gross Daily Gross +/- % 1 17-Jul 21-Jul 4.852.527 4.852.527 970.505 2 22-Jul 28-Jul 7.797.838 2.945.311 420.759 -56,65% 3 29-Jul 4-Aug 8.673.929 876.091 125.156 -70,25% 4 5-Aug 11-Aug 8.943.063 269.134 38.448 -69,28% 5 12-Aug 18-Aug 9.048.006 104.943 14.992 -61,01% 6 19-Aug 25-Aug 9.064.451 16.445 2.349 -84,33% 7 26-Aug 1-Sep 9.066.543 2.092 299 -87,28% 8 2-Sep 8-Sep 9.067.215 672 96 -67,88%
  14. By all means, go head copy and paste from Cinepoint! I don't have time to do it myself.
  15. Dark Fate had an excellent opening day, but then slipped from day 2 onwards. Maleficent 2 held on quite well, average daily drop 60% (a good number in Indonesia). NOTE: Will provide more updates from my app Cinepoint from now on. Or, you could just download it yourselves.
  16. WB's reporting $874K OD, I don't know what exchange rates they are using 😀 (my tracking's based on admission)
  17. As per Uni. My estimate range (from actual admission tracking) was $7.6-8.1M so it's there or thereabouts.
  18. Indonesia OD looks be around $1.54M, which sets the stage for an OW range of $7.6-8.1M. Fourth highest of the year.
  19. Indonesia opens today with a massive screen number of 1,250+ (total screens now: 1,905). FF8 was all time champ before Infinity War and Endgame.
