  1. Also @cookie why did you put CTE on March 26th when it’d make more snse to move it to February. I don’t see higher than TP or even $200M DOM numbers for it to be honest, it opens next to a major kid targeted animated film (first since Rita) and arguably the most light hearted option in March, and opens after Secret Saturdays another major live action family film. Both Gigantic and Saturdays will be PG and it won’t get IMAX.
  2. Who says it won’t make it this year... maybe just not in live action form? And it wasn’t pushed back three years in a row.
  3. Solitary wasn’t scheduled for this year though
  4. We then see the giant screen open with the 2003 Duck Dodgers theme song as we see Daffy Duck on a movie set as Duck Dodger (think animated like in Looney Tunes: Back In Action to give some 3D ish vibes) doing some type of scene, as Daffy goes off set, talking about Ducks in movies saying the truly greatest Duck will be getting their own all from an idea based of him. Joe Dante comes on set in animated form, reminding Daffy he is the director. Daffy refuses to listen as the two get into a violent squabble as an announcer reveals the cast. Eric Bauza will voice Daffy Duck/Duck Dodgers Jeff Bergman will voice Porky Pig/Cadet Sandra Bullock will voice Queen Tyr’ahnee Mark Ruffalo will voice Dr. I.Q. Hi Chris Pine as Captain Star Johnson. Like Supernova, Duck Dodgers will be traditionally animated with CGI backgrounds. Duck Dodgers will arrive in theaters Y8.
  5. Yeah, the first act and the third act have big action sequences.
  6. Also currently at 6,652 words so far for Squirrel Girl (I’ve written a good first 20 minutes and the last 25 minutes), so we may have an animated film in the range of NOD and Amulet II in terms of word count.
  7. @Spagspiria you may have the first draft of Squirrel Girl by Saturday.
  8. Speaking of Disney Sitcoms: https://deadline.com/2018/12/andi-mack-actor-stoney-westmoreland-charged-six-felonies-underage-sex-1202525804/
  9. Guillermo del Toro then steps on stage to talk about Trollhunters, as he reveals the key details and titles. 1.) Crew Peter Ramsey then appear announce that he, Rodrigo Blaas and del Toro will co direct the project as the latter two will write and produce. WETA Digital and Moving Pictures Company will help provide the VFX Alexandre Desplat will also return to score The project will be a light PG-13 ala Spark: Rising/Jumanji/Spider-Man: Homecoming The film will be a big action packed adventure mixed with a high school drama, del Toro notes horror elements will also be used in the film more than the series The title will for now just be Trollhunters 2.) Cast Guillermo del Toro admitted it was difficult but admits they’ve finally have a clear idea as the cast is announced Our Heroes: (** indicates CGI/* Motion Capture) Griffin Gluck will play Jim Lake, the first human Trollhunter as he deals with the pressures of a double life as a hero and a teen trying to fit in Isabela Moner will play Claire Nunez, a tomboy who is the object of Jim’s affections who also learns about Jim’s double life Julian Dennison will play Toby Domzalski, Jim’s best friend and confidant who’s desire for the spotlight is matched as well as bombasticness by his loyalty to friends **Kelsey Grammar as Blinky, a six eyed troll who is Jim’s mentor, as well as an unsuccessful mentor of past Trollhunters **Fred Tatasciore as AAARRRGGHH!, a burly troll as well as best friend of Blinky who helps assist Jim in his practice *Winston Duke as Draal, the son of the previous and deceased Trollhunter who at first is enraged at Jim for stealing his birthright but comes around as his fighting trainer *Sterling K Brown as Vendel, the wise and hardened leader of Trollmarket, who is suspicious and leery of a human holding the balance between their two worlds Our Villains Robert Downey Jr. will play Walter Strickler, Jim’s history teacher as well as role model who is secretly a Changeling, a troll that can take human form, as well as admiral to Bular *Andy Serkis as Bular, a powerful and evil troll warrior bent on unleashing his father Gunmar from the Darklands so they can take over the planet once more. Bular has a dislike for Changelings calling them impure Constance Wu as Nomura, a museum curator who’s also a deadly Changeling assassin as well as colleague of Strickler **Tom Hardy as NotEnrique, a Changeling in disguise as Claire’s baby brother Enrique to gain intel who’s loyalty flips like a coin as he looks out for himself Nicholas Hamilton as Steve Palchuk, while not evil compared to the others, he’s your typical narcissistic high school bully Both Clancy Brown and Mark Hamill will reprise their roles from the series later on as Gunmar and Dictatious, two antagonists to appear later 3.) Plot “Beneath the town of Arcadia lives a secret civilization of trolls, which humans are oblivious to. The trolls' common enemy are the Gumm-Gumms, evil trolls from the Darklands. The trolls' chosen warrior, known as the "Trollhunter", is supposed to protect them from the Gumm-Gumms along with other dark miscreants from the Darklands. Fifteen-year-old James "Jim" Lake Jr., struggling to make his own mark on the world, finds a mystical amulet which grants him the Trollhunter mantle. Under the guidance of his new mentor Blinky and AAARRRGGHH!!, Jim must face the evil Bular as well as his mentor/father figure Walter Strickler who is secretly a Changeling, a troll that can take human form, from recreating the Killahead Bridge, a portal to the Darklands that’ll release Gunmar and his armies to take over the planet.” The project will target a Late Summer/Fall Y6 release date with August, September and October being favorites for the studio to get a jump on Halloween
  10. Here take a stocking stuffer, Peter Jackson steps on stage and apologizes for Bionicle: Trials Of The Toa and says he has the perfect film to remedy and prove a comeback. We then see the logos for Endless Entertainment and Amblin Entertainment appear on the screen as we see a montage of Tintin’s adventure animated similarly to Into The Spider Verse mimicking a comic book The title then flashes onto the screen: Prisoners Of The Sun Jackson confirms the project will be based off of the books: The Seven Crystal Balls and Prisoners Of The Sun. Jamie Bell, Andy Serkis, Nick Frost and Simon Pegg will return as Tintin, Captain Haddock, Thomson and Thompson like in the first. Daniel Craig is also returning as Ivan Sakharine. Zoe Kravitz, Darce Montgomery, Gael Garcia Barnel and Tom Hardy will also star in the movie. The plot is “Tintin, Snowy and Captain Haddock investigate the abduction of Tintin’s friend, Professor Calculus (Tom Hardy) as well as a connection to a mysterious disease that has been killing explorers in Peru, the former was trying to cure that winds up them searching for an Inca civilization, facing bounty hunters (Dacre Montgomery), rival reporters (Zoe Kravitz) and a serious of other trials.” Jackson confirms he will direct and produce the project, Steven Spielberg (Fortnight, Jurassic Park) and Kathleen Kennedy (Star Wars: The Force Awakens) will also be returning as producers as Edgar Wright (Framework, One Punch Man) and Joe Cornish (Countdown to Extinction) will write the script. The film will also once again use motion capture animation throughout the movie. Irving says it’ll be their big trump card of Y6, aiming for the coveted December Y6, against Amulet III and Cookie Pictures’ untitled tentpole.
  11. Tomorrow: Lost Earth teaser Smells Like School Spirit trailer Trollhunters details Percy Jackson’s untitled film and maybe a surprise if one is nice enough.
  12. @lamamama do you still want the rights for Ben 10 or be interested in sharing, I have a great idea for a movie.
  13. Obviously I get that but still was just asking.
  14. Again I don’t care about either side and knows it goes both ways but it gets annoying either way as it derails the thread. Take it the damn fanboy wars thread.
  15. So for the Nintendo installment for everyone Mario, Pokémon, Pikmin? and Kirby will be PG and the rest is PG-13?
  16. BTW I may have Artifacts finished by Wednesday. I’m already 50 minutes through the movie.
  17. It’s cool but I do have a PG-13 animated film next year brewing. I like how CAYOM has been starting a strong wave of PG-13 animation like To The Moon, SkyRiders, Star Fox, Future Amulet sequels and My Hero Academia.
  18. Oh boy. More CBM fan war talk that’ll eventually lead to discord. Almost as if some people didn’t listen from earlier advice.
  19. Gigantic, Squirrel Girl and Gigantic are all PG and I think Artifacts, my live action fantasy adventure may be PG considering the performance of the Pokémon movies.
