  1. 2019 is a big year for WB. The Mule imho has a shot for $100M+. LEGO 2 imho will benefit from the slight break of LEGO movies and is the first major family film, think $200M can still happen. People say Aquaman can hit $400M, but Shazam! is way more likely imo. I can easily see Homecoming numbers. Detective Pikachu also can be a surprise hit, also thinking $200M+. Godzilla 2 will be yuge like $100M/$250M huge Annabelle 3 can also cross $100M as well IT 2 will definitely continue the WB September horror win streak but it’ll fall from IT quite a bit. The Kitchen can surprise as can Joker, the latter has potential to do $170M-$190M WW2 will be the crown jewel and the competition for biggest fall film between Frozen 2. If they put more effort into Smallfoot, I could’ve see it easily cross $100M as a star studded musical if they just gave it some decent marketing. Thinking $60M-$80M though.
  2. Can we talk about how strong WB has been this summer and fall? The Meg which everyone thought would flop is a $150M/$500M WW smash, CRA is the first big comedy in like forever, and The Nun has the second biggest September OW and fourth best for horror (mark my words Conjuring 3 is doing $70M+ OW. The rest of the year isn’t slouching either. Aquaman, although I don’t think it’ll reach the $300M some are screaming about due to competition will be a solid earner (Doctor Strange numbers DOM/WW), and Beasts 2 will be big as well, can see it being flat DOM but bigger WW. A Star Is Born could also break out as well. The only film this year from WB that could flop is sadly Smallfoot, but who knows animated musicals do well and LeBron and Zendaya could help it (I know I’m grasping at straws but I’d like to see WB continuing the momentum of surprise hits and WAG deserves a hit).
  3. @cayommagazine The first teaser for XJ9: First Flight will debut with Treasure Planet: Gauntlet of Midas. The teaser will hit the web later today.
  4. @cayommagazine Endless Animation and Nickelodeon celebrates the success of Don’t Let The Pigeon Have a Show, a hand drawn prequel series to the box office juggernaut Don’t Let The Pigeon Drive. The show is getting renewed for a second and third season but wait, it seems Endless and Nickelodeon have more news... Prepare For The Return Of Nicktoons After the massive success of Don’t Let The Pigeon Have a Show, (a hand drawn prequel show to the juggernaut Don’t Let The Pigeon Drive) on Nickelodeon, Endless has inked a deal with Nickelodeon to create and co produce a cinematic universe, the Nickelodeon Cinematic Universe, a series of both live action and animated projects of beloved Nicktoons through a string of different genres that will ultimately lead up to a crossover of massive proportions. Endless is striving to be extremely faithful to the cartoons while adding a unique spin. In Blueprints Stage (the “Phase 1” of the Nickelodeon Cinematic Universe) will include the properties of My Life As A Teenage Robot, El Tigre, The X’s, Fairly Odd Parents, Invader Zim, and Jimmy Neutron; all of which are going to be key players in the world. Lager Pictures owns the rights to Danny Phantom but Danny Phantom will be incorporated into the Nickelodeon Cinematic Universe appearing in the main crossover event. The first film will be based off of My Life As A Teenage Robot titled XJ9: First Flight. The film will be directed by Jon Watts (One Piece: The Journey Begins, Spider-Man: Homecoming). Sophia Lillis (the Bounty Hamster franchise, Kim Possible, Halloweentown) will voice Jenny Wakeman/XJ9. The film will aim for a hard PG/light PG-13 rating but certainly won’t hold back punches. The film will be budgeted around $100M-$120M. The project will target Y5, most likely in the spring season. The rest of the cast is composed of: Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Nora Wakeman, Jenny’s mother and creator who happens to be a genius robotic scientist Sandra Bullock as Vexus, an evil robotic bug like alien planning to rule the galaxy and queen of the Cluster, a hoard of robotic bug aliens Ryan Potter as Sheldon, one of Jenny’s best friends and also her not so secret admirer Cameron Boyce as Brad, one of Jenny’s best friends and a Casanova wannabe Owen Vaccaro as Tuck, one of Jenny’s best friends and Brad’s annoying little brother Kevin Hart as Killgore, a diminutive toy robot who wishes to be a bounty hunter and planet conqueror Mads Mikkelsen as Commander Smytus, Vexus’s admiral Bill Nye in as Krakus, Vexus’s bumbling scientist Abraham Attah (The Adventures Of Oscar Pill), China Anne McClain (Miraculous), Daniel Henney (Voltron, The Scavenger Wars), Josh Hutcherson (Bartimaeus and The Amulet Of Samarkand) and Awkwafina (Ocean’s 8 will star in undisclosed supporting roles. The second film is The X’s, a family of super spies forced into suburbia to investigate a potentially nefarious plot by SNAFU that could change the world for the worse while maintaining the perfect cover as a normal family. Brad Bird (Incredibles 2, Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol) will write and direct the project. The X’s will aim for a PG rating. Daniel Craig (Skyfall, Voltron: Reunion) as Tucker X, the father and perhaps greatest spy in the world but at everything else not so much Amy Adams (Man of Steel) as Trudy X, the mother, hand to hand combat expert, once a tennis superstar and horrible chef, Anya Taylor Joy (Split) as Tuesday X, the daughter who is a fantastic investigator who wants a normal life. Jacob Tremblay (Wonder) as Truman X, the effant terrible son who is an inventor Ralph Fiennes (The Lego Batman Movie, Harry Potter) as Homebase, the AI part of the team and house Jordan Peele (Battletoads, Get Out) as Glowface, leader of terrorist organization SNAFU with an ego as big and shining as his big, red glowing possibly electrical head. The third film, El Tigre: Traditions of The Past will be the next film and will aim for a PG rating. Jorge R. Gutierrez (Book of Life) will return to his creation as the director. Adrian Molina will co direct the project and Guillermo del Toro will write and produce the project. Anthony Gonzalez (Kingdom of The Sun, Coco, Don’t Let The Pigeon Drive) will star as Manny Rivera/El Tigre, a 13 year old anti-hero who struggles with his faction. Will he be a hero like his father, White Pantera (Michael Peña) or a villain like his grandfather, Puma Loco (Edward James Olmos). Sofia Vergera will voice will the main villain, Sartana, an evil animate skeleton with a guitar that controls the dead, with a personal vendata against the Riveras. El Tigre will feature a mainly Hispanic cast as well. El Tigre will aim for Y6 likely near Halloween season. In other films: Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius will be helmed by David Lowry (Pete’s Dragon) as a sci-fi adventure film with more apparent ties to the NCU. Invader Zim, a sci-fi action thriller, aiming for a PG-13 rating and is described as the darkest film in the NCU, will be helmed by Jennifer Yuh Nelson (Metroid, Kung Fu Panda 2) and Finn Wolfhard will star as Dib Fairly Odd Parents, a CG/Live Action hybrid fantasy comedy and the most comedic, will be written, produced and directed by John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein (Game Night, One Punch Man), some voices roles have been revealed: Paul Rudd will voice Cosmo, Maya Rudolph will voice Wanda, and Dwayne Johnson as Jorgan Von Strangle. Rainn Wilson will be the main antagonist, Denzel Crocker. The films will hit somewhere between Y7-Y8. The upcoming crossover will has a codename called “Unite”.
