Yeah as much as Illumination’s films quality is definitely questionable, nowadays most animated films don’t get pass $150M without adult appeal. Even $100M can be a struggle if you aren’t Disney/Pixar/Illumination.

The fate of the unfinished films so far: Miraculous - I just need to work on the third act, I have the pieces though Witches - same boat as Miraculous Bullets and Lyrics - I have an outline done just need to work on the songs. Alpha Flight - The main reason why I made Howling Commandos go to it’s spot is that I’m at a writers block for it, specifically the plot. I started working on HC a week or two ago and enjoyed it but noticed some similarities to my AF draft but it flowed way better. And with Conductive opening I have 2 Superhero films, but I can finish it. The Untitled Family Guy Movie (that’s the new title) - being pushed to Y4, didn’t like the draft I had. I want a good FG movie.

TBH I thought Peyton was doing ROM which was pushed back into Y4. Which was why I choose him.

I’m rooting for RPO to overperform, it’d be nice to see another huge blockbuster. Especially due to how dismal March is.

Howling Commandos directed by James Gunn, starring Millie Bobby Brown, Chewitel Ejiofor, Chris Evans, Tiffany Hadish, Benedict Cumberbatch, Mark Strong, Emily Blunt, Channing Tatum, John Cena, Bill Skarsgärd, Cara Delevinge and Alex Hirsch, is a story about a group of “monsters” sent by the government to track down and stop Merlin from sending the world back to medieval times. Howling Commandos will release July 3rd, Y3 in 3D, IMAX 3D and Dolby Cinema replacing Alpha Flight, which will now be released on September 6th instead. FlyingCapes’ Conductive has been moved up to MLK Weekend Y3 in 3D and IMAX.

And Howling Commandos is finished. Pushed Alpha Flight back a bit but it should still come out Y3.
