  1. Tbh I think Aquaman 2 more or less does about the same as it would in March.
  2. @cayommagazine Details have leaked from Endless Animation’s Gateways: The Gates of Eternity on the characters Mark Hamill, Samuel L Jackson and Kelly Marie Tran will play. The film is still trucking for a Christmas Y11 release. •Kelly Marie Tran as Sunset. Sunset belonged to an ancient religion, The Children of Levi when she was just a child. However, over the decades Levi left her planet, creating a genocidal war that left her the last of her kind. However, she was raised and saved by Nyle, traveling the multiverse and causing her own brand of chaos along the way but without a sense of purpose. Sunset did experience the multiverse inversion when Bailee met her father, and upon that learned that the Watchers were in fact real. Sunset also learns about the source code, the lifeblood of all realities and when unlocked gives the user the ability to define what the rules of reality are. Though she harbors disdain for Levi and The Watchers, why should she waste energy crusading against them, if she could use the code to become a better deity instead. • Samuel L. Jackson as Zenith. Once the proud leader of the Watchers for millennials, only to be fired 1000 years ago upon a breaking Watchers guidelines upon personal dissatisfaction of how lax the Watchers have become. Zenith was also a father figure and mentor to Levi, but Zenith’s attitude and gaslighting drove the two apart and got Zenith disbarred from the Watchers. Upon learning on Sunset’s raid on Watchers Headquarters for the map of the Source Code, Zenith must help Levi re-harness his abilities and patch things up if he wants to save reality. • Mark Hamill as Nyle Serpens, the anthropomorphic silverback serpentine, multiversal crime lord and Sunset’s adoptive father. Nyle would much rather smuggle goods or control crime in universes than to go head to head with The Watchers. Nyle teams up with Sunset on her quest to become a goddess by unlocking the source code, however, as shady as Nyle is, this partnership seems to be fragile at best. The themes at play for the film are about fatherhood, with the various dynamics between fathers of the film and their children: Levi and Bailee, Levi and Zenith, Sunset and Nyle. Levi is really pressed on being a father to Bailee as well as dealing with both his disdain for Zenith yet wanting his approval also.
  3. @cayommagazine DC’s The Attack From Mars has been officially greenlit and gone into production for a Y11 release date. Said to be the endpoint of the current Endless Universe of DC Characters, the plot reads as follows: “White Martian extremist Protex (Luke Evans) and his army have taken over the remnants of Mars, Protex begins to finish up his planet for galactic conquest and buffing his White Martian brethren by finding the Alpha Metahuman; said to have the genetic potential to be the strongest metahuman. Together with her girlfriend and superhero partner Tora, Beatriz takes to the street specializing in pyrokinetic powers. - Anya Taylor-Joy as Tora Olafsdottor/Ice, fashionista by day and superheroine by night. Together with her girlfriend and superhero partner Beatriz, Torq takes to the street specializing in cyrokinetic powers. - Lana Condor as Artemis Crook/Arsenal, Green Arrow’s tech-savvy sidekick. Arsenal is known for her quick wit and adaptability. Various other cast members such as Benecio Del Toro, Jay Baruchel, Jamie Lee Curtis, Rose Bryne, Blake Cooper, Marcus Scribner, Tracee Ellis Ross, Morena Baccarin, Blair Underwood and more will return to reprise their roles in smaller parts. Jeff Fowler (Sonic the Hedgehog franchise) will direct the movie.
  4. You’re not getting the big point here. In both situations, artists have been getting shafted. In this case, arguably worse than the temporary response due to a pandemic and at least tried to reach out to those who were fucked over. Being upset against how Zaslav is treating artists doesn’t mean your anti-theatrical, those things aren’t an all or none rule or mutually exclusive. Further move, this move is not to justify or “save” theatrical but to avoid paying artists. And to think that this type of micromanaging won’t be seen theatrically regardless of being “good” for DC or not, or have ramifications on what gets greenlit is laughable.
  5. You mean Metal Sonic, Amy or Shadow right because they’re dozens of Big The Cat Stans.
  6. @cayommagazine James Mangold (Runaway Train, Walk The Line) fresh off his success with Phoenix Fire’s Runaway Train has been signed on to write and direct an untitled biographical drama film about the friendship and partnership between world famous cartoonists William Hanna and Joseph Barbera taking course over the span of when the two first met to Hanna’s passing. The film is tentatively slated for a Y11 release date with casting details soon to come.
