  1. Fifty Shades Freed sold 17 tickets today. Not a group selling because they are all spread out throughout the theater.
  2. Holy mother of god! Why did my theater not expand Coco? Coco is far ahead of Cars 3 at the same point (113/1,071). It has sold out the 6pm showing and will sell out the 7pm showing (3 tickets left). 9pm is selling well and could get close to sell out. However look at that percent of seats sold Coco 235 312 75.3%
  3. I'm in favor of pushing it back. David isn't complete and maybe finish Truth Is!
  4. Sounds like it is right where I expected it 13-14M....quote me on that shit (look back a few pages)
  5. Fell behind Thor 3 as walk ups were not as strong. Still a solid number though. Wonder is doing fantastic! Coco is the real story. Cars 3 sold 171 tickets total and Coco should crush that number easily. It already has one sell out Justice League 882 2,298 38.4% Wonder 79 156 50.6% Star 27 234 11.5% Coco 150 312 48.1%
  6. I'll be releasing my theaters numbers at 6:30pm central time. I suddenly feel optimistic despite the reviews
  7. Well this movie came out of nowhere! I am excited for the trailer
  8. Soooo a weird twist in the JL preview drama. Fandango's site is apparently fucked up. Went on Movetickets.com and the showings work to buy online So Justice League is still ahead of Thor 3! But.........the gap is narrowing quickly. Justice League 540 2,298 23.5%
  9. JL has now fallen behind Thor 3 at the same point It is down by 20 tickets. Although over 892 seats (6 showings) are not available to be purchased online...something seems fishy. If they aren't open midday tomorrow, I am calling my theater. They are all at prime times and I think they are holding back sales. Again, we will see tomorrow! Wonder also appears to be capping out presale wise. It will be interesting to see if walk-ups are strong. Coco is capping out as well. My theater sort of expanded it but it is pretty pathetic compared to Cars 3. Although it is far ahead of Car 3's sales at the same point It will need to top 171 tickets sold to surpass Car 3's total preview ticket sales. Seems reasonable and their actually is a lot working in favor of Coco (tickets are $5, there is no school Wednesday, and it is before a major family holiday.) Justice League 491 2,298 21.4% Wonder 35 156 22.4% Star 2 234 0.9% Coco 64 312 20.5%
  10. I'll be posting them 7pm central time. That was the time I posted the Thor 3 numbers.
  11. Really nervous to look at tickets for JL tonight at my theater. I just have a gut feeling I'm gonna be disappointed. Thor 3 was at 511 tickets sold 24 hours before it's previews.
  12. Sorry if I confused you. JL is ahead as of now. Tuesday Before Previews JL- 442 tickets sold Thor 3- 416 tickets sold What I was trying to say is that I have a feeling JL isn't gonna sell well when it comes to walk ups and will ultimately fall behind the total tickets sold of Thor 3 (944 tickets). I am gonna say a preview number of 14-15M.
  13. @mredman I just want to leave a disclaimer: My theater while big and popular is still just a single theater. It occasionally doesn't reflect what the rest of the theater chains across America see. That being said, I am definitely now beginning to see a pattern in how many tickets are sold for a film and the preview number. The ranges are still fairly wide but getting more defined with the occasional outlier. Based on my history of films that sold similarly to JL, it should get a preview number between 10M-15M. Wonder should do between 400k and 700k. Again, there is the strong possibility the films might do above or below those ranges but I am 90% confident based off the numbers I have now and the based history that these films will fall in this range for the preview #. Walk-ups can change everything of course. Wonder Woman, Foreigner, and Annabelle Creation are prime examples. And some films started out of the gate fast, Bladerunner 2049, Kingsman: The Golden Circle, Alien Covenant, and Dark Tower but then had poor walk up sales and ended up below what I was thinking. Wednesday and Thursday morning/early afternoon things get more concrete. I have this weird gut feeling JL is gonna fall behind Thor 3's 944 final ticket sale number. Hoping I am wrong. Current Standings 1. Star Wars: The Last Jedi: 1,719 tickets sold 2. Wonder Woman: 1,270 tickets sold - Most Tickets Sold But Translated into a 11M Preview Number. Smallest Preview # in the Top 5. 3. IT: 1,140 tickets sold 4. Spider-Man: Homecoming: 966 tickets sold - Largest Preview Number: 15.4M 5. Thor 3: 944 tickets sold 6. Pirates 5: 778 tickets sold 7. Justice League: 442 tickets sold 8. Alien Convenant: 415 tickets sold 9. Despicable Me 3: 412 tickets sold 10. Annabelle Creation: 385 tickets sold 11. Dunkirk: 371 tickets sold.
  14. JL remains ahead of Thor 3. Several of the showing aren't available online to buy tickets from which is odd. Hopefully my theater resolves the issue soon. Wonder and Coco are doing decent. I am surprised my theater hasn't expanded their showings. Star ..... just give its screens to Wonder or Justice League. Justice League 442 2,298 19.2% Wonder 30 156 19.2% Star 0 234 0.0% Coco 56 156 35.9%
  15. JL has 2,298 seats now available. Massive increase! I'll post later tonight how much sales increased. It needs to top Thor 3's 416 tickets sold. Was at 390 when I went to bed last night.
  16. Justice League continues to sell ahead of Thor 3. Thor 3 was at 416 tickets sold Tuesday night so JL needs to sell more than 35+ tickets tomorrow to remain ahead. Sold 43 tickets so far today so I am guessing things will continue to pick up. Coco is doing solid. Basically doing as well as a film can do with only 2 showings and 103 seats still available. 7pm showing has reached 57% sold so I wouldn't not be surprised if my theater adds a bunch of showings Wednesday for it. Star is just bad.....even Flatliners did better. Justice League 383 1,216 31.5% Wonder 17 156 10.9% Star 0 234 0.0% Coco 53 156 34.0%
  17. I think this looks great and much more appealing than La La Land. I am so far a big fan of the songs and this movie looks fun. Doubt it will be a big Oscar film like La La Land but families I think will show up for this given the circus theme, wholesome story, and colorful scenes. 120M domestic total.
  18. I suddenly got very into these movies. I probably will see this in theaters. Love or hate the movies but Universal has done a fantastic job with the trailers for all three. Anyway I am thinking we will see a drop from Fifty Shades Darker for this. I am predicting 100-110M total.
  19. Just a reminder about this monster looming a month out. Stars Wars: Last Jedi 1,719 2,710 63.4%
