Despite her really limited screen time, I have a soft spot for Lady Sif. There's just something about her. So: Lady Sif Gamora/Peggy Wanda Natasha Hope/Nebula Honorable mention: T'Challa's "Move or be moved" Dora Milaje.

Deadline has been bent on undermining DS success since opening weekend. So I wouldn't put it past them to deliberately lowball weekend estimates to make it look like an underperformer. Their reporting about its opening weekend was criminal. Basically, they went on about opening below Thor 2 and made a big deal out of it. I don't know why they are so anti-Marvel biased. So I wouldn't worry about that number this early. -
Emerald kikyou, great breakdown of how to do Naruto the best. I agree, romance is pretty bad here especially when Sakura was still pining for Sasuke and he was ignoring her. She was really silly and irritating. Also well said.

My biggest fear for live-action Naruto is that they'll make the same mistakes like with Avatar: The Last Airbender. Controversial casting is a given (no, Naruto is not white, but a Japanese, yet they'll cast a blond white kid) and than they'll try to condense a whole season into one movie. GitS looks great, especially the shelling sequence.

Arlborn, it just has to open bigger than the other Wolverine movies which is doable. X Men movies have never known for legs, even when they received raves like DOFP. So OW is really where breakout is decided. In fact, more intimate nature of the movie may just earn it longevity amid mayhem type of competition. Movies that connect emotionally tend to play longer than wiz bang ones. We'll see. I may be wrong but I don't see Kong spelling doom for Logan.

Logan looks good and has devoted fanbase. It was never going to expand beyond that fandom, Kong or no Kong. It's good for making at least what other 2 Wolverine movies made if not a bit more due to Last Wolverine with Jackman marketing. It'll be fine.

I like it because it doesn't try to make a mystery out of the creature design. Agreed that tonal shift makes it uneven but it seems to have been cut to attract GA rather than hardcore fans.
