  1. Yall are taking this frontloading thing too far, we really haven't many comps, in particular for $100m openers since a lot of movies opened in the middle of the week
  2. Looks really solid. France opens next week, then Spain, Germany, China and Japan
  3. Apes and Dunkirk are the least family friendly movies I can think of, we'll see....I hope it can reach $350m to at least have a chance at $1B worldwide
  4. With mixed signals coming from UK I think SK will be easily Spidey #3 market. Amazing OW
  5. few days ago there was the concrete possibility of going sub $100m...I'm sure they're over the moon
  6. That means the film made 30% of its opening day via previews, which is right in the happy zone for an MCU movie. For example, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 earned 30% of its $56m Friday via a $17m Thursday haul, while Avengers: Age of Ultron earned 32% of its $84m Friday via $27.6m in previews and Captain America: Civil War earned 33% of its $75m Friday via $25m in Thursday previews. Great
  7. Some breakdown: Postrak: Forty-nine percent bought tickets to Homecoming because they love Spider-Man, 18% said it was the cast featuring Robert Downey Jr., Michael Keaton, Tom Holland and Zendaya; 25% watched because they went with someone who wanted to see it, 19% heard it was good; and 11% cited it was the film’s great reviews. PostTrak also shows a lot of walk-up business with 79% of those surveyed purchasing tickets today CinemaScore: Fifty-eight percent bought tickets because they love Spider-Man movies, while Holland and Downey Jr. pulled in 17% of the ticket buyers. Fandango (previews): 89% were more excited to see the latest Spider-Man because of star Holland’s credibility as a high school student. Eighty-seven percent of those polled have seen multiple Spider-Man movies on the big screen, while 86% are fans of Downey and 70% fans of Keaton. The tomato law and WOM adding a relative 30%
  8. nah..people in Italy rarely go to the movies, just compare the box office through the years. I imagine the weather is fantastic this time of the year...in fact Universal will release DM3 in late August, like Disney did with Finding Dory, just before school starts and summer break finishes Also exchanges rates changed My cousin told me SS was huge in Italy but it did "just" $13m total
  9. WW $400m here it comes Great for Baby If Spidey OD does $50m it'll match the 64% of SM3 OD adjusted, $77m. Not bad three movies after and three so-so -to say the least- received movies
  10. Aquaman is not known anywhere lmao, it doesn't matter in any case..see GOGT and Strange
