  1. It's holding on very well. It could very well be a case where the movie manages to get certified fresh and then go down and settle at 71-72% etc.
  2. Oh massive. I always enjoy those couple of times a month when I'm reminded on twitter who he is and who he's currently fucking.
  3. Defining the greatest living filmmaker to me comes down to range, and no filmmaker's got range like Spielberg does.
  4. MC will be interesting. A single negative (red) review would really damage its potential to stay green. That's really the only reason it's still at a 61 right now.
  5. There's more than enough positives and a lack of really negative reviews for the general trajectory to put it in the 60s.
  6. So far exactly what was to be expected, though does anyone wanna say Critics' Choice is useless now? It's literally doing what it did there.
  7. 60 on MetaCritic after 12, it's going back and forth from green to yellow, it's got the same amount of positives as mixed atm.
  8. 62/100 after 9 reviews. EDIT: 60 now after 10, already struggling to be green.
  9. https://www.empireonline.com/movies/reviews/it-chapter-two/ Empire hitting it with a 5/5
  10. They had one for Joker too, I think they have it for most films, it doesn't mean anything anymore. It doesn't even delay our RT watch.
  11. I believe the review embargo drops tomorrow, but does anyone know what time?
  12. Shit I should get ready to rewatch the first film too, probably the TV-movie as well.
  13. Comparing to a few Conjuring Universe horror movies this is how it compares: IT 86% 7.2/10 avg, 69 MC - 82/100 Critics' Choice The Conjuring 85% 7.2/10 avg, 68 MC - 81/100 Critics' Choice The Conjuring 2 80% 6.8/10 avg, 65 MC - 77/100 Critics' Choice Annabelle Creation 71% 6.2/10 avg, 62 MC - 68 Critics' Choice Annabelle Comes Home 65% 6.0/10 avg, 55 MC - 63 Critics' Choice There's no telling if IT 2 will align just as perfectly as these ones do, but if we go with it then 71 on Critics' Choice leans towards being right over Creation.
  14. If we take the current 71 at face value I'd predict a fresh percentage but not certified, yeah. Though strangely it always looks like horror movies are slightly different on Critics' Choice compared to other movies. A horror movie in the 80s is very rare while even some well received films are in the mid to high 60s, even though most other movies there are rotten on RT. That could bode better for IT, but I doubt it'll get near the first. 6.5-6.8 something average rating probably.
  15. I'm pretty interested in this, hopefully the trailer can get some momentum going.
  16. Essentially highly acclaimed movies. "We highly suggest you see this movie" etc, much tougher to get than a certified fresh overall, but essentially the same concept. It's literally "the critics' choice".
  17. It's mostly how they weight the ratings, a lot of the critics are the same. The problem with Critics' Choice is lack of information, and that it's clearly not intended for the same thing overall. Once you get the hang of it, it works just fine, but Critics' Choice is only a thing because critics put up their scores before the embargo drops so we can get a sense of how it's doing until then. I've always suspected this is a mistake on Critics' Choice's part that they've just not noticed.
  18. It's fair enough, but I tell you Critics' Choice has a very similar trajectory to where the RT scores eventually end up. Not specific number-wise, but in correlation to most other movies. IT 2 has now gone up to 71/100, it can go to all sorts of places, but I guarantee it won't be extremely low for Critics' Choice while RT ends up extremely high for RT or vice versa. It's a very good indicator.
