  1. Exactly! Some people here are just crazy.... GOTG Vol 2 made almost 400 million, so will AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR make the same amount? Haha!
  2. I believe 'Avengers: Infinity Wars' will make more money than 'Avengers: Age of Ultron'. MY PERSONAL ANALYSIS: 'Avengers: Infinity War' (and its sequel) will be very different beasts of 'Avengers: Age of Ultron' 'Age of Ultron': Didn't add more new beloved characters coming from successful solo movies. Then there wasn't the excitement of seeing characters who had never interacted before together for the first time, as happened with the first film. The Line-up was basically the same (Cap, Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, Black Widow, Hawkeye), same interactions, with some small cameos, a way less compelling villain and the only good addition was Scarlet Witch (unkown character, without a previous successful solo Movie). A middle-of-the-story. Nothing felt really new. 'Infinity War' and the sequel: Yes. It will not have the same novelty effect as the first Avengers. But it has much more to offer than 'Age of Ultron'. This time we have new characters that have never interacted before, coming from successful films: Guardians of the Galaxy Black Panther Doctor Strange Spider-Man Ant-Man and the Wasp (for Avengers: Infinity War's sequel) Captain Marvel (for Avengers: Infinity War's sequel) Hell, you can make a successful new Avengers movies only with these new characters! Plus, according to the Russo Brothers, new characters will debut in these films. I know, somebody might say that some of these characters have already interacted before (Spider-Man, Ant-Man and Black Panther in 'Civil War'.) Thor, Hulk and Doctor Strange in 'Ragnarok'). But at that time, Spider-Man and Black Panther didn't have their own successful MCU solo movies and that was a confrontational movie between the heroes. Since 'Age of Ultron' people don't see the Avengers fighting united against a common enemy again. I really believe that the excitement of seeing all these characters together, the new and old, the new interactions and dinamics and the strength of the 'Avengers' brand (much stronger with the general audiences than 'Captain America') will make a big difference. I also believe that Marvel Studios is building its best phase so far, with many quality films and box office hits. With a lot more people interested in the solo films, a lot more people will be interested in the new Avengers movies. Also it's the final chapter of an 10 years arc. The long-awaited battle against Thanos (who I believe will be a way better villain). It's not the middle of the story, it's the exciting, epic conclusion. I think those movies will be HUGE in scope and at the box-office.
  3. Oh man, so the Freaking Guardians of the Galaxy had a bigger OW in 2014 than Justice League now! CRAZY! Is it possible that Justice League will grosses less than Doctor Strange (first solo movie of a C-list Superhero)?
  4. With Cinemascore A, 'Spider-Man: Homeconing' has the highest score of all Spider-Man movies: SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING (2017) AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2, THE (2014) AMAZING SPIDER-MAN, THE (2012) SPIDER-MAN 3 (2007) SPIDER-MAN 2 (2004) SPIDER-MAN (2002)
  5. The concept of "overrated" and "underrrated" are usually kinda dumb. But the real point is you and some folks every time saying again "Doctor Strange is overrated", everytime. Get over it. And man, some guys here calling "Doctor Strange is one of the worst superhero movies of all time", never saw something like that outside of BOT.
  6. You're really obsessed with Doctor Strange's good reception. Is it so difficult to accept that you are in a minority? So do you have to say every time the movie is "OVERRATED"? Cinemascore A; RT: 90% (Average Rating: 7.3 / 10), IMDB 7.6. Critics, general audiences, fans, almost everyone is "Overrating" Doctor Strange, except you and some folks, I guess.
  7. You sound insecure. Complaining about how people react to "opinions", you seem to care so much about it. You not only want to say what you want, but you're also complaining about how people react to it, acting as if opinions like yours are not appreciated as they should, or are criticized too much, complaining about others' behavior, but acting as if you Knew the right way to act. This seems rather insecure to me. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  8. The last Spider-Man films have hurt 'Spider-Man: Homecoming'. I've been saying this for some time. Three bad movies, 13 years, it's too much... And don't tell me "But the fans of the cinematic Spider-Man since 2002". The decline is clear and strong in the last films. People in general became more and more tired of the character after three bad movies in a row (and two reboots). Also don't tell me "I believe Captain America: Civil War has recovered the character". No. 20 good minutes of a character in a Captain America movie, with several other good characters could never recover so much damage at once. Things are not so simple. Also don't come up with "But it's Spider-Man, everyone loves Spider-Man". It has been more than proven that audiences who watch superhero films are more interested in new things. GOTG was bigger than ASM2 in 2014, Doctor Strange did very well, Deadpool and Suicide Squad were huge, Wonder Woman too.
  9. I love that scene, but I believe that nostalgia plays a big part here. It's a great scene, but Mad Max: Fury Road, Guardians of the Galaxy (Vol 1 and vol 2), Logan, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, Skyfall, Toy Story 3, Inception, The Dark Knight, etc. All have a lot of great scenes.
  10. Yeah, 2017 is the year of franchise fatigue. And I think next weekend, 'Spider-Man: Homecoming' will pay the price of the three previous bad movies. Thirteen years with bad Spider-Man movies and the last one was very close, 2014, just three years ago. Something that happened to 'Batman Begins', which came after 'Batman Forever' and 'Batman and Robin'. And BB still had a longer time for people to forget the previous films, eight years. Let's see.
  11. SUICIDE SQUAD Received far more praise than it deserved.
  12. As I said to another user: I liked Avatar, James Cameron is a genius (I'm a big fan). It's just a fun game (I saw on Twitter sometime ago). I love "Scott Pilgrim vs. the World" and I can't quote that movie...
  13. By the way, James Cameron is a genius and after Aliens, Terminator I and II, Titanic and Avatar, I would never doubt his great ability to surprise us once again. I am very happy to see that he is dedicating himself to a project he loves, that he is trying to make the best films possible (even if it still takes a few years) and that he is trying to develop new technologies once again. Can't wait to see the new Avatars.
