  1. 2023 has made box office flops seem almost common now. Remembering the chaos that the JL and Solo Weekend Threads were are some of my favourite memories (only been here since 2017 when I wanted GOTG Vol 2 numbers lol).
  2. Yeah Filoni has been very upfront about his love of Miyazaki but specifically Princess Mononoke.
  3. It would be a shame if studios or Hollywood don't capitalize on the energy and love for movies that Barbenheimer has brought by delaying upcoming movies because of idk not paying writers or actors properly or something absurd like that.
  4. I imagine what's helping Oppenheimer as well is for the majority of Nolan fans their last big screen experience for a Nolan film was Dunkirk which was 6 years ago. Makes me wonder how well Tenet would have done even in 2021.
  5. VMAX I like and it's about half the price of IMAX but ofc it's nowhere near the size of IMAX. Haven't done Xtreme too much though I assume like most Hoyts it has recliner seats lol.
  6. Yeah my mate tried to book IMAX tickets for Oppenheimer last week but failed as they were pretty much all sold out. Luckily I already one have sole ticket in three weeks.
  7. I mean who here predicted Barbenheimer would be the TGM of this summer. I really thought MI would ride that wave or that there was still appetite for Indy coming back.
  8. I'm just here for Iman tbh. Really hope the film retains the charm and humour Kamala had from Ms Marvel.
  9. I'll be honest I didn't expect As from both Barbie and Oppenheimer even though I really like both films. Don't think I've been this overjoyed at a Box Office weekend since Endgame.
  10. I'm more curious in what does the success of Barbie does for Greta Gerwig's future. The Narnia stuff for Netflix is fine but what Nolan and Peele did that was smart was immediately captialize on their brand when they both blew up with TDK and Get Out respectively with original films to confirm their brand.
