It's funny though many people feel the opposite. A bit frustrated they moved the IPL matches to later times since it makes watching matches from Australia very difficult.
Ironic that Dumbo will be another example of Disney over budgeting on another movie considering the original saved the studio by being smartly efficient in its budget and storytelling.
Oh yes an actual Kingdom of the Sun film has big potential. I guess the problem with these remakes is Disney is only choosing to remake the ones that Disney can bank on nostalgia and Emperor's New Groove wasn't a big box office hit though the film is legit one of the funniest Disney Animation Films.
Dumbo might give an indication there's a limit to how many of these Disney Animation Films they can remake. Especially since they've used up much of the Renaissance ones already.
God forbid they start remaking Pixar films....
Yikes at the reviews. Dumbo is still my favourite out of the "Golden Age" era of Disney Animation so this one stings a little but still might check it out.
And why did Disney spend $170M on this film???
I wonder if Peele should have just cut out the scene where they explicitly reveal the twist and just left it with Jason seeing his mum and showing her smile. But overall it was great though I think I enjoyed Get Out a bit more.
Yeah getting into how much a film actually made in profit/loss is tricky cause much of that information is disclosed by the studios. In terms of performance the best way to see whether a film over or underperformed is how the studio reacts afterwards.
It would have been interesting to see Snyder's vision go all the way through but at the same time WB shouldn't have expected Avengers level of success from these films which clearly they were judging by how they reacted after BvS. Radical reinterpretations of iconic characters isn't inherently wrong but you have to expect some backlash especially if you don't stick the execution. You could argue the same with Luke in TLJ.
Well both Snyder and Rian Johnson were given the keys to the kingdom of their respective franchises after one film. We saw what happened with Snyder and we don't know whether Rian Johnson's trilogy is a go ahead or not. Certainly is a lesser priority compared to the Benioff and Weiss films.
Yeah I think this is gonna be the best reviewed superhero film of the year. Can we stop with the whole "critics are biased against DCEU films" now then?
