  1. I haven't even seen the 5th season of Arrested Development yet even though I love the show (even S4 I dug quite a bit). Still waiting for that Community movie.
  2. https://variety.com/2019/tv/features/mike-hopkins-sony-pictures-television-strategy-1203160502/ The Sony team is in the midst of figuring out how best to exploit its intellectual property across the film and television groups. And not just for its crown jewel, “Spider-Man,” but also in areas where it has a potential competitive advantage, such as its access to IP from PlayStation and Sony Music. That said, the studio is aware of its association with one of the most popular Marvel characters of all time. So look for more amazing adventures of the web-slinger to populate not just theaters but TV screens. “We have the next seven or eight years laid out as to what we’re going to do with that asset, and that will not only be on the film side — it’ll be on the TV side,” says Vinciquerra. “Our television group will have its own set of characters from within that universe that we will seek to develop.” Sony is essentially internally auditioning its more than 900 Spider-Man-adjacent characters, to which it has attached the moniker Sony’s Universe of Marvel Characters. According to Hopkins, the team is “pretty far down the road in terms of working through which characters we think could be their own star of a series.” “We’re developing a lot of Marvel-related content, and I think we’ll be out in the market very soon with something really, really big and transformational for us, because we’ve not done any shows with Marvel before, with Marvel IP,” says Hopkins. “So that’s a big piece of development that we’re onto.” Hopkins anticipates a large volume of content. “I think we aspire to have several shows in a universe that we create that can pollinate between each other, and to working with a partner to make that happen.”
  3. Tbf it was the only realistic number that it could have been.
  4. Where's the bad WoM the RT score promised?
  5. Now watch us be disappointed when the actual number is only 7M
  6. Mhm yeah that's why while I'm excited I'm also a tad nervous about the Veronica Mars revival as much of the appeal of Veronica Mars is that she was still in high school while being a PI. The 3rd season set in college was easily the worst though I suppose alot of it was due to CW restrictions.
  7. I first watched Buffy and Angel only a couple of years ago and I still found them incredible tv to watch
  8. Yeah Marvel will be fine in China it ain't gonna crash the same way the Star Wars franchise has here. Just don't see any of their films breaking out anytime soon. DC could potentially overtake the MCU over here.
  9. He's got a show on HBO in development https://deadline.com/2018/07/the-nevers-joss-whedon-hbo-series-order-1202426230/
  10. Exactly. Phase 1 despite the mixed quality each of those series built to Avengers. Same with Phase 3 that each separate series built to Infinity War. Phase 2 is the odd one out cause it didn't really feel like Iron Man 3, Thor: The Dark World and Captain America: The Winter Soldier led up to Ultron (and GOTG and Ant-Man were completely separate). The only really relevant film to Ultron is Winter Soldier and they deal with that fallout pretty much in the first 10 mins of the movie.
  11. He's saying that they didn't plan from the start for Captain Marvel to be set in the 90s so before The Avengers. Which is true but nothing in the movie breaks the continuity of the MCU imo. In fact I honestly got goosebumps when it was revealed how much Captain Marvel inspired Nick Fury to start The Avengers in the first place.
  12. Who said he didn't? Maybe he did and she couldn't come. Regardless the Avengers Initiative was Fury's baby inspired by Captain Marvel so he needed it to work and the only way to have it work was well see if it could stand up to Loki.
  13. Want this to beat Civil War WW but probably looking less likely now
  14. “I went to see Aquaman last night and I really, really enjoyed it,” Feige told MTVon the Golden Globes red carpet. Weren't hard to find 😉
  15. Yeah idk about using Captain Marvel has an example. A better example would be Ava Duvernay getting the New Gods gig from WB/DC despite A Wrinkle in Time flopping. It's not ideal that A Wrinkle in Time was critically panned and no one saw it but it's good that we see a female director be allowed to fail and still get another shot at another big budgeted film.
  16. I am curious how many people are gonna feel the same as you. All good things come to an end eventually. My wish would be the MCU would end on its terms instead of limping out like a tv show that's past its use by date. But that's probably not gonna happen.
  17. Black Widow is gonna benefit from being the first MCU film in 10+ Months. I think it's partly why Captain Marvel did so well.
  18. Interesting how Civil War is the most critically well received of the Russo Brothers MCU films but I reckon the vast majority of fans would say it was their least favourite out of Winter Soldier, Civil War and Infinity War.
  19. 1. Captain America: The Winter Soldier 2. Avengers: Infinity War 3. The Avengers 4. Thor: Ragnarok 5. Black Panther 6. Guardians of the Galaxy 7. Captain America: Civil War 8. Spider-Man: Homecoming 9. Iron Man 3 10. Iron Man 11. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 12. Captain America: The First Avenger 13. Captain Marvel 14. Thor 15. Ant-Man 16. Avengers: Age of Ultron 17. Ant-Man and the Wasp 18. Doctor Strange 19. Thor: The Dark World 20. Iron Man 2 21. The Incredible Hulk
