  1. James, Sirius, Lily, Lupin, Snape at Hogwarts, we see how James and Lily started dating, after Hogwarts they join the Order of The Phoenix, Lily and James get married, Dumbledore hears the prophecy, Snape goes to Voldemort, Voldemort goes to Godric Hollows and the series ends where the books begin. Huge success right there
  2. Warner made a mistake thinking that a few spin-offs with new characters except Dumbledore and Grindelwald and scripts written without a plot in the books would be what the fandom wanted, the franchise still sells very well but we don't want to see random wizards and magical creatures. We want Tom Riddle or the Marauders if they wanted to do something many years before Harry
  3. You can think whatever you want, i don't need to make comparations between actresses and other movies to make a point. If you want to think that LW wasn't one of the most anticipated movies of 2019 it's okay, i know what i saw and read since the movie was announced in 2018
  4. "Many advantages that had over this" Now we are living in the era of the social media, this movie had huge hype there since the trailer came out, the cast is A-list for the most part, Emma Watson and Timothée have promote it to their huge number of followers on Instagram and Twitter and the cast did a worldwide promo also Saoirse and Florence had Oscar buzz since the first screenings. The fanbase now is bigger than 25 years ago so i don't know what advantages are you talking about, it's a very good film with great reviews and a feminist take which right now is more relevant. Please don't compare it to those box office flops because their source material isn't beloved like the LW book
  5. LOL what? So you are saying that a movie nominated for 6 Oscars including BP with an Oscar nominated female director and Oscar nominated/winner cast and crew hasn't great Oscar buzz? Also it's funny how a few people here talk about LW like it hadn't a big fanbase in USA so crossing $100m with that fanbase + Oscar nominations is not a surprise to anyone. The 1994 version grossed $50m without inflation
  6. Awesome movie, the lead character is like Jesus in WWI and that scene near the end WOW. I see this movie winning a lot of Oscars
  7. She is, she's the new rising star in Hollywood along with Florence Pugh. Now she's going to play Marilyn Monroe in a biopic and in Spain we are very proud of her because she has dual nacionality
  8. LOL that girl Andrea is obsessed with her, she is in Awardsworthy forum trying to prove she's the best young actress and a megastar to anyone who disagrees with her on the Little Women thread. It's very scary and she hasn't posted this reviews I mean 2 Quote
  9. I don't see Florence and Saoirse stans focusing on her mate, they are just happy that both of them are getting rave reviews and their Oscar nominations are very likely, especially Saoirse
  10. Jeez the Watson stans here are something else....why are you focusing on her when the reviews are so good for everyone BUT her and Eliza? When a movie is universally praised like this one you should focus on the standouts (Saoirse and Florence) and if this cast wins the SAG award (which i highly doubt) the win would be for EVERYONE, not just one actress . Also i'm sorry but she isn't doing indies anytime soon unless they have big names attached, i follow her career since HP and her MO is only doing movies with a famous director or a prestigious cast and she turns 30 in 5 months, she cannot play the innocent bookworm girl anymore PS: her casting was a last minute decision by Amy Pascal, the producer when Emma Stone dropped out
  11. That's your opinion, the long-shot is getting a lot of praise and other Oscar-bait movies are getting more mixed reviews. Anyway Mendes and Nolan are both great
  12. Nolan is my favorite director but this movie will be better than Dunkirk also many people are saying this is the frontrunner for BP this year
  13. It's not that deep, i think people is getting tired of reboots and sequels in general, look at Terminator, MIB or Dark Phoenix. Movies like Parasite, Rocketman and OUATIH show that when a movie is good people will see it on cinemas but Sony doesn't attract massive audience besides Spider-Man and Jumanji. That's why i think Little Women won't be a big hit even with Oscar buzz...it's another remake and the competition late-December is insane
  14. A Star is Born was a remake yes but it was a modern version, with one of the most popular singers as the lead actress and it was a really good movie that's why it had lots of acclaim in Venice,TIFF etc.
  15. It's a classic and you can read the comments below the trailer online to see that many people are saying they love that version and this one can't be better
  16. I think you're overstimating the appeal of Little Women. Yeah the book is a classic and the trailer doesn't look bad but it has eight adaptations, the 1994 movie is still very fresh in people's minds and it's near perfect also if it was that good Sony would show it at fall festivals to gain strong awards buzz. Tbh i don't think it will flop but it won't be a huge hit either. The only recent massive hit from Sony is Spider-Man Far From Home and Little Women will compete with Star Wars IX and Jumanji 2
  17. I love that this movie is gonna make over $800M worldwide,i'm a big fan of Queen and i almost cried several times throughout the movie because it's fantastic. The critics must be speechless lol
  18. Well he has a new name now and that name is great for new theories about him,Grindelwald and Dumbledore (the two most interesting characters). If the script of FB3 isn't very dense and the focus is on his new identity it could be very good
  19. Finally one positive person! I totally agree when you say that the pundits don't mention the decreases in the first HP movies and the competition is way bigger than two years ago,add the bad reviews and mixed WOM and there you have almost -$200 M
