James, Sirius, Lily, Lupin, Snape at Hogwarts, we see how James and Lily started dating, after Hogwarts they join the Order of The Phoenix, Lily and James get married, Dumbledore hears the prophecy, Snape goes to Voldemort, Voldemort goes to Godric Hollows and the series ends where the books begin. Huge success right there

Warner made a mistake thinking that a few spin-offs with new characters except Dumbledore and Grindelwald and scripts written without a plot in the books would be what the fandom wanted, the franchise still sells very well but we don't want to see random wizards and magical creatures. We want Tom Riddle or the Marauders if they wanted to do something many years before Harry

"Many advantages that had over this" Now we are living in the era of the social media, this movie had huge hype there since the trailer came out, the cast is A-list for the most part, Emma Watson and Timothée have promote it to their huge number of followers on Instagram and Twitter and the cast did a worldwide promo also Saoirse and Florence had Oscar buzz since the first screenings. The fanbase now is bigger than 25 years ago so i don't know what advantages are you talking about, it's a very good film with great reviews and a feminist take which right now is more relevant. Please don't compare it to those box office flops because their source material isn't beloved like the LW book

LOL what? So you are saying that a movie nominated for 6 Oscars including BP with an Oscar nominated female director and Oscar nominated/winner cast and crew hasn't great Oscar buzz? Also it's funny how a few people here talk about LW like it hadn't a big fanbase in USA so crossing $100m with that fanbase + Oscar nominations is not a surprise to anyone. The 1994 version grossed $50m without inflation

Jeez the Watson stans here are something else....why are you focusing on her when the reviews are so good for everyone BUT her and Eliza? When a movie is universally praised like this one you should focus on the standouts (Saoirse and Florence) and if this cast wins the SAG award (which i highly doubt) the win would be for EVERYONE, not just one actress . Also i'm sorry but she isn't doing indies anytime soon unless they have big names attached, i follow her career since HP and her MO is only doing movies with a famous director or a prestigious cast and she turns 30 in 5 months, she cannot play the innocent bookworm girl anymore PS: her casting was a last minute decision by Amy Pascal, the producer when Emma Stone dropped out

It's not that deep, i think people is getting tired of reboots and sequels in general, look at Terminator, MIB or Dark Phoenix. Movies like Parasite, Rocketman and OUATIH show that when a movie is good people will see it on cinemas but Sony doesn't attract massive audience besides Spider-Man and Jumanji. That's why i think Little Women won't be a big hit even with Oscar buzz...it's another remake and the competition late-December is insane

I think you're overstimating the appeal of Little Women. Yeah the book is a classic and the trailer doesn't look bad but it has eight adaptations, the 1994 movie is still very fresh in people's minds and it's near perfect also if it was that good Sony would show it at fall festivals to gain strong awards buzz. Tbh i don't think it will flop but it won't be a huge hit either. The only recent massive hit from Sony is Spider-Man Far From Home and Little Women will compete with Star Wars IX and Jumanji 2
