I myself didn't go to see Solo because of TLJ, so I'm sure that had effect. The truth is there's a lot of factors in play. You can't really blame it on one thing.

The trailers were pretty poor. They never really managed to sell you on the movie. Not to mention they came out quite late.

i don't think finishing below 300m is an okay-ish run.

They were double, but only for the first 24 hours.

Meanwhile the score on RT is rotten with the top critics.

In most countries it's June 6th, 7th and 8th. France, UK and Germany get it on the 6th, so that's bad news for Solo.

JW2 is out a in a week in a lot of countries, so there isn't a lot of time for recovery.

I think she used to interview actors before. In any case I don't believe her entire income comes from youtube.

Her channel isn't really big enough to make a proper living out of. Certainly not in Manhattan where she lives. It's probably just an extra income.

It's probably underestimated.

Competition probably didn't help it, but I think the core concept of the movie is not interesting. Also the embargo was lifted too early. The reviews don't say "oh yeah I should definitely go see that in theaters". They say "I can catch it on Netflix"

Well Solo did beat BP's pre-sales, but only for the first 24 hours. Doesn't really mean much.

The low trailer views were definitely a bad sign for the overseas gross.

It has pretty average reviews overall which certainly didn't help. It really needed that certified fresh result, especially when the embargo was lifted so early.

I don't think Solo can recover in any meaningful way, even if it pulls some good legs.
