This is the prime example of why we need movie theaters. I watched about an hour of it before work -- found it super boring and generic, because why do they have humans in these movies? Why are you making me suffer through "portal to hollow earth blah blah blah". Just let them fight! Del Toro got this in Pac Rim. Anyway, I turned it off to go to work, and I finally got another to finishing the last 30 minutes. By that time the day had passed, and all of the momentum was gone. The third act is solid. Thank God for fights in the day time! Yet I couldn't shake the fact that this would've been awesome in a MOVIE THEATER. So it was perfectly adequate. The best part is Kong, and how they manage to humanize him and his suffering. That was lovely.

I watched an hour of this before work, and then I’m gonna finish it up tonight. It’s all right so far. I really miss movie theaters, boys. I had to force myself to put my phone away and watch the movie.

Oh I really want to wait to see this in the theater, but also like, I just want to watch it. There's an easy solution for this: gonna watch it twice.

I would actually like to second this. I don’t know if it goes far is best performance of the show, but he is really great at what he’s doing. And they cast him awesome. He just came out of the gate, and I’m like EFFFF this guy, get your Basic white bitch hands off of that shield, abort abort, abort. And the way he’s just casually throwing around his privilege and arrogance. I hate him. The way that he was sitting in the back of that pick up, with his arms extended and that casual body language. And then out of nowhere he was just like I really need Cap’s wingmen. Like, First off, do not insult Sam that way. Second off, no you don’t. Because if you actually needed their help, you would’ve approached them before the whole thing started. You would’ve been respectful about the whole process. But you weren’t. Because you’re arrogant enough to think that you deserve that shield, even though you don’t. And then in the police station, where he was just casually talking about Bucky like he had some type of ownership on him and what he does. Like he’s not your problem anymore, I got them under my control. Uggggggh. Go fuck yourself on something hard and unpleasant without lube. So props to Wyatt Russell for making me have such a visceral reaction.

I need AMC to be a hero and buy them out. Or at least buy our theater. The state is now without an IMAX. And our theater JUST updated to recliners. It’s basically brand new. The only thing Cineworld or AMC would have to do is rebrand the lobby. ETA: I say AMC cause they don’t have any theaters in the state, whereas Regal already has a presence.

Aww! Thank you, everyone. That’s very sweet, and I am glad we got the order right with @Jason and @MrPink on top. On a personal note, I think I can speak for everyone when I said that it’s been a really taxing year. And I’m very thankful that this place exists, even if the universe is trying to make us change our name to streaming services theory. And I really appreciate everyone who has helped make the projection room showings so successful. It’s definitely the highlight of my week. Even if sometimes I’m super late for my own party. 😂 I will endeavor to be funny and valuable as the year progresses. But I’m totally not going to succeed, because you losers really are sleeping on Chloe and how dare you. So rude. 😘
